Truck exterior was painted with Glasurit Paint. Glasurit is the highest quality and most expensive paint system in the world. I’ve been spraying Glasurit for over 40 years. I was trained professionally in the German laboratories by the Germans in Germany on the Glasurit paint procedures. All sheet metal was taken to bare metal and sprayed with six coats of single stage.
This was a nice truck frame off restoration. Only 200 miles have been added since the restoration to road test and get all the bugs worked out. This truck runs excellent. This truck can be confidently driven home and/or anywhere at any time. This truck has no leaks and incurred no issues on the road testing the last 100 miles of the 200.
I have been restoring classic vehicles for over 50 years specializing in Cadillac Biarritz and 62 Series Convertibles, 1955 1956 1957 Chevy Shoebox and Trucks. I have retired and only average one vehicle per year for resale concentrating on only restoring my own vehicles these days. It is truly a labor of love for me. I restore every classic as if I were going to keep it for myself. My body work especially is my art form and is a labor of love which shows in every classic I restore.
