1979 Chevrolet Monza Wagon (Vega Wagon Body) with Nice Patina
1979 Chevrolet Other Description
Straight out of a 13 year time out, this bad boy wants to come out and play, body cleanup optional. Paint faded differently at different places and small dents (like on and behind passenger door). Patina here and there all over looks good to me. Except for rust-through in front of driver's door the body looks solid. Imagine having an impressive drive train in a sleeper like this.
It's got an ignition key, 2 tires that have held air for a few weeks, factory AC, no visible structural rust (check out the underside pictures) missing rear glass and left side rear glass, cracked windshield, no back hatch key. Has been in dry parts of Colorado most of or all of its life.
Car is located in Norwood, CO, zip 81423, 120 miles south of Grand Junction, CO and 100 miles east of Moab, UT.
Mileage of 58,155 is what's on the odometer, doesn't have place for hundreds of thousands. So actual mileage unknown.
I've had it a few weeks, the title is in my name.
I haven't tried to start it.
Interior somewhat usable.
Badge says 3.2L. I believe Chevy got this V-6 from Buick. I read that the Vegas were discontinued in 1977, then they made Monzas and used the same Vega wagon body for the Monza wagons.
The license plates are dated 2006.
Contact me (David) with good questions but don't ask what I'll take for it before the auction ends because it's going the full 7 day auction.
Will someone please tell me how to put Monza on the top line of the listing? I see other people have them listed but Ebay doesn't give me that as a choice and I haven't figured out how to put it in.
OK let's all have fun with this!
