1978 Chevrolet C-10 silverado Description

Up for sale is my 1978 Chevrolet with the real Silverado package. This is the upgraded version C10. This truck is remarkably rust free and was recently fitted with a complete weatherstripping kit to make sure all seals hold and to reduce road sound. The interior is in fantastic shape and has new insulation and carpet to reduce sound and keep the temperature comfortable. The suspension and steering system have been completely rebuilt with high quality parts, including Bilstein shocks on all four wheels, new springs and tow grade leaf springs. I installed a performance sway bar with the correct brackets and linkages to reduce roll when driving on the highway. These upgrades have made driving in rush hour traffic significantly safer and more comfortable. The engine is the original 350 with 35000 original miles. I replaced the carburetor with a new Holley with electric choke for reliable starting as well as an electric fuel pump to increase fuel efficiency. It now gets 12 miles per gallon. It has two gas tanks one on each side and the electric selector switch works well. There are no active leaks in the engine or transmission. This truck was owned by a car guy and was stored for a while when I put it back into service. I honestly feel comfortable driving this truck anywhere because it is truly mechanically sound. The air conditioning system works great and I recently had the Freon type updated and system charged. The belts and hoses are new throughout this truck. This C10 is so intact that it has the original stickers in the engine bay and the jack is still in the engine bay wheel well how it came from the factory. The bed is completely solid and has fresh bed liner. People restore and customize these trucks all the time but this one is special because it’s already beautiful and very original. It comes with a clean and clear blue Texas title.

I added pictures of the undercarriage and motor. The under carriage is dirty but is very solid with no rot or deep rust. This has been a Texas truck and did not suffer from salt or snow damage on the undercarriage.
