1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Description

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION
1966 Chevelle Malibu Convertible*327 cu in, 275 HP V8 Engine*MUNCIE 4-speed manual transmission AND Bench Seat - RARE COMBO!*Power Steering*Knee-Knocker Tachometer - RARE!*2 OWNER CAR
This car has been in our personal collection for 15+ years - hate to see it go but have to make some room.Being in our collection means that it got driven 2-3 times per year and was always kept in climate controlled shop.
Drivetrain is 100% original. Original engine. Original Transmission. Odometer reads 40,418. There is an oil change sticker in the door jam from 2003 - it reads 31,270 for mileage. We believe that the 40,418 on the odometer is actual/original miles. No reason to believe otherwise.
I honestly could not oversell this car if I tried. It drives so nice and smooth. Floats down the road and has the gearing to cruise 70+ down the freeway with ease. It even has the original single exhaust. Part of me wishes it had some gnarly sounding dual exhaust but just couldn't do it. The original exhaust makes this thing SUPER QUIET. Seriously can hardly hear it running.
The body is absolutely straight - no dents. The paint is nearly perfect (there are a few small rock chips). There is no sign of this car being repainted - no paint lines in the door jams, etc. However, it is just too nice and shiny to be the original paint. It is our belief that this car has been repainted once in it's life to freshen it up. The color is ARTESIAN TURQUOISE. 17" chrome rally wheels with OEM center caps.
We put the car on the muffler rack and searched the entire undercarriage for any sign of rust...NOT A SINGLE BUBLE ANYWHERE! Please look at the photos of the trunk - no rust/rot. Original speckle paint in the trunk. You can see the original spot welds on the quarter panels. This thing has never been touched.
The interior is also 100% original - seats, steering wheel, carpet, dash/instrument panel, dash pad, door panels. Everything original and in perfect condition. There is a CD player in the glovebox, this way none of the original dash was altered. Kickpanel speakers in the kickpanels as well. The top is the original top. It is in good shape, no tears (only 1 photo with top up because we virtually never drove it with the top up). NOT a power top.
A couple of really cool things to note. We have the original convertible top boot still in the original storage bag from the dealer. The "boot" is what you install to cover the top when the top is down. Have all the original manuals for the car - even have the ORIGINAL PROTECT-O-PLATE! ALSO that California plate on the back is the original plate that was registered to the car when it was driven off the new car lot in 1966. How cool is that?!
I have lots more photos if you have serious interest.
Please feel free to ask me any questions at all.
Thank you,Pete

WHO WE ARE

We are a Father & Son team that love old cars and trucks! My dad is the brains of the operation – been dealing in cool vehicles for over 40 years. He has an impressive muscle car collection and a passion for clean, original cars of nearly all makes and models. We sell vehicles on eBay because we get excited about finding a local gem in Idaho and then sharing it with the rest of the world. This is something we do on the side because we enjoy it. Most of all it’s FUN for us to be able to work together, AND we really do try to only deal with cars & trucks we think are COOL!

I do my absolute best to advertise our vehicles thoroughly and accurately. This has led to numerous positive transactions and happy buyers. Please do not make assumptions about details that are not clearly stated in the posting.PLEASE shoot me an email with ANY questions you may have. Better yet let’s have a conversation – my dad can talk about old cars for days!
