1975 Chevrolet El Camino SS 74517 Miles Dark Red Metallic Pickup Truck 400ci 700
1975 Chevrolet El Camino SS Description
STK 2755 1975 Chevrolet El Camino SS
Back in the late 1950's, the folks at GM decided that they had best create a sedan-utility vehicle in response to the Ford Ranchero. The Chevrolet El Camino was born and a total of five generations were produced. This restored 1975 model is a member of the fourth generation (1973-77) and is based on the F-Body platform of GM mid-size cars of that era. Our owner states that the odometer reading 74,500 miles is actual and that it is a true factory SS (RPO Z15) and COPO optioned with the RPO 6-HI 'Laguna soft-face' front clip. The El Camino was stripped to bare metal and repainted code 74 Dark Red Metallic with correct white SS-striping. The interior is basically original with shift console, factory SS spoke tilt wheel and factory 'swivel' bucket seats. New carpet has been recently installed along with upgraded circuit board technology for the factory gauge package. It is nicely optioned with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, cruise and AM/FM/8-track stereo. Our El Camino is powered by the optional 400ci small-block motor (U-code), now fitted with full tube headers. It is backed by a 700R4 automatic and differential gearing is 3.42:1. Suspension features include power steering, power disc/drum brakes and correct 15"x7" GM Ralley wheels with new radials. A black Line-X bed liner has also been installed. Handsome examples of the El Camino SS are becoming very rare indeed. This truck will surely end up in the hands of someone who appreciates rare Chevys - why not you? ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
