For sale is the ultimate Bucket List car out there--a completely modified 1970 Chevelle. We are living in challenging times. Strike one--we all are being told that we aren't going to survive this horrible pandemic that we are in. If this doesn't take us, strike two---AOC tells us that we only have 12 years left before we are done, and, strike three--the stock market is up and down and down and up! Why not enjoy that the last few years we have left on earth and hit it out of the park and invest in a sure thing......this one bad a'rs car?
Seriously, up for sale is a beautiful 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle. This Chevelle boasts an incredible crate GM ZZ502 engine which was professionally installed last year. GM had a 2 year 24000 mile warranty when i purchased it so you know it's perfect. I've bought cars before promising a "solid" engine. However, you know you are getting gold since it is new and has the GM warranty. This is the GM ZZ502 Base so it has the upgraded aluminum heads -- direct from GM. Engine and install alone totals over $14,000. Engine compartment has a serpentine belt system with new alternator, pump, power steering, aluminum radiator and AC. The AC blows cold. Firewall was flattened, hood hinges upgraded and a cool radiator cover signifying that it's a 1970 Chevelle----for those few that don't know it already. This bad boy engine breathes thru double headers and Flowmaster 50's. I have it dumping ahead of the rear axle because I think with a rear like she has you don't want to detract from it.
This is mated to a 5 speed Tremec. An awesome combination. You have the lower gears for a little fun, but, with the 5 speed you also have the higher gears for cruising. Cruising at 70 is just like your daily--smooth and effortless--it's a finger driver on the highway.
She sits on Mickey Thompson 275/40/R20 Street S/S on the rear and 235/40/18's on the front. Stopping power is upgraded 4 wheel disc's.
Windshield, rear window and all side windows are new. Both door windows and back windows roll up and down as expected. Interior was redone, roof was re-stretched, new window rubbers including window and rear window seals and seats feature a 4 point belt system. Gauges are of course new--Dakota and work perfectly. Blower fan works and blows both the AC and heat out of vents. Sound system upgraded to a new Bluetooth system, upgraded speakers and amps in trunk. Car has been dyna matted throughout even under the back seat. This does a fabulous job of quitting the road noise. Driving with windows open allows you to talk normally with your passenger, yet, the roar out the back is awesome and lets everybody know that you have a big monster under the hood. Even the windshield wipers work with a new electronic wiper motor. I have a file of receipts that will go with the car including the programmer block for the EFI carburetor.
Battery relocated to finished off trunk.
Suspension has been upgraded to DSE as shown in photos, springs with Hotchkis sway bar up front. Everything was new when built including all brake lines, electronic fuel pump, body mounts, wiring and electronic carb. Even the emergency brakes were redone. This car was completely redone and upgraded with new parts. She truly is a new car in a 1970 skin.
Paint is amazing with a beautiful double grey stripe painted down the hood and trunk. Bumpers are perfect. All lights work as expected including head (dim/bright), running and blinkers. All lenses were new at build.
Car is available for a test drive, but, due to insurance reasons I will have to drive. Car is sold as is--where is with no warranty. However, please view the GM website directly to view their warranty on the new engine installed last year. I will require a $1,000 deposit within 24 hours thru paypal. The balance is due within 7 days and must be paid by cash, cashiers check or wire into my account. I prefer wire into my account. Absolutely no postal money orders. I will assist with your shipper if you are having it shipped. I can store the car for up to 30 days free of charge in a heated/airconditioned garage if you need to arrange shipping or storage. I am out of town overnight frequently so, it might take a day or so for me to reply if I am out of town. Mileage will vary as she is driven several times a week. Mileage listed is of original build.
