Ground up restored 5,000 miles ago!
1972 Chevrolet C-10 Description
Only 5,000 miles since restoration. We have some photos of the restoration taken down to a bare cab and chassis. Ready for show and go. I drove it home, it is comfortable, ran strong, felt good.
EXTERIOR: Body was off the frame and completely restored. Original 1972 Chevy cab in front, upgraded cowl hood. In back it has a 1990s stepside box. The rear bumper has been deleted, it has a custom roll pan with an inset license plate. The body is excellent- fits nice, it's straight, no rust or damage. The paint is polished smooth and glossy. The jambs are painted neatly. The latches were cleaned, new weatherstrips and sill plates. In front the grill looks good, the bumper is new. On the sides the emblems, marker lights, mirrors handles, gas cap and stainless visors look new. New windshield, windows have been tinted. The rubber gaskets have been replaced around the glass. It has Coy's polished wheels 18s in front, 20s in back. Wrapped in Kumho tires.
INTERIOR: Completely redone inside. All the metal inside the cab was painted the same yellow as the outside. The seat and headliner have been upholstered with a diamond pattern. On the floor it has new carpet, floormats and a B&M shifter. New dash pad. The instrument panel is nice, gauges are clean. It does he have aftermarket oil pressure, temp gauge and a tachometer. Tilt column has a polished wood Grant wheel. Upgraded stereo with kick panel speakers.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Mild performance built 350 motor. Has roller rockers, Edelbrock intake, a big dual feed Holley carb with electric choke. Stainless braided fuel line, premium fittings and inline filter. New fuel pump. It also has an Excel HEI ignition system and a set of headers. It's dressed up with a nice looking set of tall valve covers and a reverse scoop air cleaner. Features include power steering and a new power brake system. It has a giant radiator and shroud with a new clutch fan. Everything in the motor compartment is tidy, clean and painted up nicely.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a premium fiberglass tonneau cover painted to match. It has a waterproof fit and is completely lined with a Bedrug. It can be locked, easily lifts with the help of struts. It looks like it could be removed with no holes drilled in the truck.
UNDERSIDE: Bottom of the motor is clean, has chrome oil pan and starter looks new. Upgraded with a 700R-4 overdrive automatic trans. Rebuilt with a B&M shift kit. The rear end has 3.73 posi gears and a nice looking aluminum rear end. It has disc brakes in front. 4 new shocks. Brand new rear trailing arms and bushings. Great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Floors look solid.
Great looking truck, restored very well. Ready to use and enjoy. The locking bed cover is very practical.
