1970 Chevy Impala 2dr HT
New Jegs 350 crate engine(have receipt), the engine was bought September 2014 & installed into the car around May of 2015 by Motors Plus. Motors Plus installed a New Edelbrock Intake Manifold &Edelbrock4bbl Carb, New Chrome Valve covers, New Chrome Alternator, and parts from the old engine (water pump, power steering pump, exhaust manifolds) etc. Motors Plus also installed new front suspension bushings, new shocks, new gas tank, new tires, corvetterims with plastic center caps. I have the original metal ones (see Picture). The exhaust was run to the middle of the car & New Delta 40’s were installed with down pipes. The bumpers are in good condition but could use to be rechromed. The rear panel (hard to find item) is here on the car, the front valance was painted black it is ok.
The Interior: Has new seat covers that are in silver and red by Auto Interiors, new carpeting. The floors were done using POR15. The front seats are from 71 Old’s, and they are swivel seats. I have more parts to the seats which are included. The interior needs work. The car has a center shifter(from past owner) that will need to be fixed (new B&M Shifter included)needs headliner (have metal bows) headliner will need to be purchased. The speedo cluster framing was broken when I purchased the car and the heater controls were removed, I have a 2nd hand heater control that is included, The dash pad(under window) was new in 2014, but since it has been sitting will need to be re-glued. New rear speaker panel and parts that were removed to do interior as well as the trim for the windows (good condition-not perfect).
It was driven back to my house from Motors Plus and then sent to the body shop where it was prepped for Paint. The body was sanded &painted it Mazda Red Metallic. It was started every day and only drove it to the gas station and the body shop. The paint is nice not perfect.
The Bad: Since 1970 Hoods are hard to find, I kept the one on the car. The past owner bondo-ed the inside of the hood (very poorly) prior to me owning. The key to the ignition, drunk and doors are missing but when someone buys it, I will put in a new column key cylinder in. The trunk & doors will need to be replace by you. The passage door handle will need to be hooked up. When body shop painted the car they didn't cover engine, so over spray ended up on the engine.
The reason it is sitting outside: I fell and broke my back and all work on the car stopped. In early 2018 it was driven out of my garage and parked outside. And that is where it has been sitting (covered).
Since it has been sitting for 2 plus years it would need to be towed out of here, the engine would need to be gone through, more than likely primed and the timing adjusted, and a new battery will be needed to getit started. The oil in the engine was replaced with High Zinc hotrod oil before it was put outside. This is an As Is SaleThe engine has approximately 500 miles if that. Thanks for looking.
