1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 4 door Description

What you are bidding on is a very original and clean 1957 Four Door Belair. The Belair has a very nice patina paint and very natural. This car is a very solid and runs good with the original numbers matching engine and transmission. Everything on this car works including the original AM radio, heater, lights, etc. The Belair even comes with its original jack and Sears spare tire. I have the original paperwork with which includes the invoice and purchase agreement with the first owner from the dealer still in the dealer's envelope. All of the paperwork was in the glove box. I will do my best to describe the car, however if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call, text or email me. You can either look at this car as a project or a completed car depending on your desire of what you want to do with this Belair. Personally, I like it just the way it is, however I am passing the opportunity onto somebody else to enjoy it.
Drive-TrainThe Belair still has its original V-8 283 motor as well as the original transmission. It even has the original oil bath air cleaner, glass fuel filter, generator, etc. The car runs great and still has plenty of power. It starts up every-time. Sometimes it is a bit difficult to put the car into reverse, however it does go into gear and backs up. The Belair handles well on the freeway even at high speeds. I do have some upper A arm bushings that could use replacing, however I not installed them yet.
Body and Trim
Considering the car is almost 60 years old, its still in good condition. If you are looking for a perfect body and paint please look else where. However, if you are looking for that perfect patina look without having to pay the money for that type of paint job than this is the car for you. When I purchased the Belair, the only rust spot I saw was on the passenger side front fender behind the wheel. The section was about a 2" spot, I purchased a patch panel and had a body and paint shop patch and weld the spot. You on see in the pics it came out quite nice. The trunk and floor boards are very solid and look great.
All of the stainless trim is there and in very good shape. It is not missing a single please of trim or emblems, I have a new set of rocker panel molding its just not on the car. Everything is there. The bumpers are still very nice and with an afternoon of polishing they could be very easily polished back to their original shine. The driver-side door center stainless does have a dent which appears to be from parking too close to vehicles over the years. Take a look at the pictures and you will see that there is no sagging in the doors and all of the body panels and doors line up very nicely.
InteriorThe interior actually in very nice shape as you can see from the pictures the seats are in great shape as well as the carpet, headliner and door panels. The car a couple of small tears on the top small section behind the driver side part of the seat, however they are still very nice shape. All of the glass is very clean and no cracks. All of the windows roll up and down without any problems. I do have all new weatherstrip kit for the car as well. I have not put that on either. The radio works great and you can pick up AM stations without any problems. The heater works good too. All of the lights work as well without any issues.
The most interesting part about this Belair is; I have never seen such an original car with its original paperwork still in the dealers envelope. The Belair still looks and runs great. You can either paint it or leave it as is. I do have the car advertised locally and maintain the right to end the auction early should the car sell locally. I am willing to ship anywhere as long as you take care of all of the costs. My reserve is set pretty low considering what you are getting for your money. If you have any questions or concerns or if you need additional pictures or videos please feel free to contact me at 916-262-6971. Also you are more then welcome to come by and take the car for a drive if you are really interested.
