1968 Chevrolet Impala Wagon, CA Car, Air Ride, A/C, Sale or Trade Description

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. I can assist with financing and transport as needed.
Old station wagons have their own kind of cool. They are unlike anything you can buy today, with their classic car looks, V8 engines, and tremendous proportions. This 1968 Impala wagon captures the look of Chevrolet’s finest but with a few modern touches to make it something special.
This land yacht spent most of its life in California, and it shows. The car is not plagued with the rust you might find on an all-weather family vehicle from the snow belt. The loooong body is very straight without any dents or dings. It had one excellent repaint in its original color of Ash Gold which contrasts nicely with the tinted windows. And the pointed luggage rack is a must-have on any wagon.
An obvious conversion on this big Impala is the full air ride suspension. The switches and gauge under the dash allow you to set the front and back ride heights to your preference. When combined with the Boyd Coddington wheels it makes for quite a look. You can also see the updated 4-wheel disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors.
The drivetrain consists of the factory 327 cubic engine, TH400 automatic transmission, and 10-bolt rear end. You also get power steering and power brakes, both of which work great and are necessities on a car of this size. The dual exhaust is in good condition too.
The Saddle interior has plenty of space. The seats are all in excellent condition. Note the abundance of seat belts on the front bench, two of which mate with the roof mounted shoulder belts. The carpet and headliner have been replaced while the dashboard appears original. The wipers, horn, and lights are all present and functional, as are the heater (with a new core) and defroster. Additional options on this car include power windows and R134a air conditioning which also work properly.
The sight of a station wagon from this era is becoming less frequent. It is even more unusual to see one like this Impala. It is a solid specimen with fantastic lines and plenty of updates. And how else can you have all this space and still look so cool?
