1962 Chevrolet C-10 Hot Rod Description

Amazing piece of art on wheels with this 1962 Chevrolet C10 Light Duty Stepside Pickup known as the "Cowboy Custom" and was featuredFeatured in the music video “My Kind".

This truly is a one of a kind pickup designed, fabricated and finished by celebrity designer Tim McClellan. This is not your run of a mill ‘rat rod’ but rather an artists expression of a custom ranch rod truck. Every corner you turn or piece you look at will impress. This is the type of truck that can roll up to “Cars & Coffee” and get premier parking, the kind that will win at a show and the kind that will turn heads everywhere you go. I have nicknamed it "The Ranch Rod" since it is a quality build and not a slapped together Rat Rod, it would be a great addition to any Ranch, Museum, or Collector Vehicle Collection.

The pictures tell the story of this amazing build!!! One-off custom interior includes a leather wrapped roller-chain steering wheel, antique barn wood rear bumper, hand stitched leather visors, braided hand pulls, black leather split bench seat, custom Dolphin instrument panel, cowboy hat holder and a real antique St. Louis Fire Arms 12 gauge shotgun modified to make the shifter.

This truck not only has the looks but has the reliability and drivability for a day to day cruiser. When we located this vehicle we drove it from Phoenix, Arizona to Los Angeles California, over 400 miles through the 100 degree heat in the desert, mountain ranges and drive-thu restaurants. If that isn't a testament to the drivability of this vehicle then I don't know what is.

This pickup is true rolling art! A built 350 small block with Edelbrock intake and carb, headers, and Mild Cam, 2” front drop spindles with power disc brakes/cross drilled rotors, torsion bar front and coil rear suspension, 4 core Aluminum radiator, 5 Speed manual transmission, 245/45r18 tires wrapped on charcoal gray level custom 8 Wheels and it even has a tow hitch. This is a frame up restoration that has been road tested for about 9000 miles over the last 12 months.

This Ranch Rod is extremely easy to drive and is a comfortable cruiser that could be used easily as a daily driver or cross country road rally car. If you have been around hot rods, rat rods, and custom builds, then you know there are cars that just look good and should be trailered for long trips! This truck is a great looker and driver, so no need for a trailer! This is an Arizona truck and you can tell from its body… the truck was sandblasted to bare metal giving an amazing starting point for this build and taking it to a point that only 100k builds usually go to. This left a perfect canvas for the this trucks amazing patina.

The bed is finished in its original wood if you can believe that and holds a Budweiser keg for the fuel cell! Like we said….. everywhere you look on this truck there is a story to tell!
