1963 Chevrolet C-10 Description
This is a one of a kind, no expense spared, resto mod patina 1963 Chev C-10. Built by aircraft engineer, Don Gasiunas, who has been featured in international media for his jaw-dropping restorations. No expense spared - every inch of this truck has been lovingly rebuilt. This storied truck has lived all of its life on a 2000 acre ranch in Central California. The truck was drivable and still plated when restoration was started - having spent most of its life hauling materials as a farm work truck. Original patina, not at all enhanced or modified, not even clear coated, except for rust repair on bottom of door and fender, as shown in photos below. Engine Rare, hard-to-find GM LSA Supercharged. All aluminum, with stock 552 BHP, 550 pounds of torque. Factory mated 6-speed Tremac manual transmission. This combination of engine and transmission is now equipped in the new generation Camero ZL1. It will absolutely wow you - what is virtually impossible has been done. Emission-friendly, with original catalatic convertors and O2 sensors, dual 3" exhaust with electronic dumps, giving you the performance sound or stealth mode at your discretion. Air Conditioning New vintage air. Electrical Modern electrical wiring harness and fuse panel has been fitted. All connections have been sautered and shrink-wrapped. Suspension and Air Ride Porter-built, extreme drop system has been incorporated into the original frame, artfully sand-blasted and powder-coated. All suspension (upper and lower control arms, spindles, sway bar) also have been powder-coated. Accu-Air ride management system installed. Brakes Wilwood 6-piston 14-inch rotors have been installed, all four corners, along with Wilwood Master Cylinder. Stainless steel brake lines and stainless steel flex hoses have been installed. Fuel System Custom aluminum fuel tank with internal fuel pump and aircraft AN fittings with braided hoses. Interior This C10 has been tastefully restored to create a modern, fresh, and clean interior. Sandblasted and repainted to factory colors, with Dynamat sound-proofing throughout. The original bench seat has been totally rebuilt using fine English leather. Custom, double-weave carpet and floor mats have been installed throughout. IDITIT tilt steering column with Lacara leather wrapped steering wheel, with the same fine English leather to match the seat. Dakota digital gauges, Dakota lift gate actuators have been installed. All new glass and window seals have all been replaced, and the inside of each door has been painstakingly rebuilt. Summary This is one serious ride. If you were to price this build at your high-end reputable hot rod shop, quality for quality, item for item, you would be well into 6-figures for the parts and labor alone, over a 1-2 year build time. Restorations are Don's passion, he focuses on one vehicle per year average, and puts the time and money in to make each resto a unique, head-turning piece of art. Don's work has been acclaimed in international media for precision, creativity and perfection. In person inspections are welcome. The shake down has been done. This show-stopping truck is fully road-tested and ready to enjoy.
