GM had such enthusiasm for this important extension of the Chevrolet line-up that the car was brought to market faster (only 18-months from conception to production!) than any other new car in GM history. The name "Nova" was considered for this entire "compact" body-style range, but at the time, convention required that all new series at Chevrolet should begin with the letter "C". However, "Nova" was approved for the top-end models of the series. In sum, this is one of the most important Chevrolet introductions of all time, and its prominence in Chevrolet history is secure. GENERAL OVERVIEW & DETAILS...with less than 200 miles on it since completion, the car was meticulously crafted to be a trailered show car for the Custom and Muscle Car show circuit. Its success was immediate, with various Best of Show, Best GM, Best Custom Paint, and Best Engine awards immediately achieved (among others) in just three showings. IMPORTANT IMAGE NOTES: To fully illustrate this amazing 1962 Nova, there are well over 150 images. The first 19 images are intended to give a quick overall presentation of the car from a variety of vantage points. Then, there are specific sets of images (for serious buyers) that show great detail in these areas: Appraisal, Trophies, Interior, Engine Compartment, Trunk, Exterior, and Undercarriage. Seasoned collectors and enthusiasts know that to really "know" a car, a close-up look all around it is a MUST! To see ALL the images...you MUST place your cursor on an image - allow plenty of time for all images to download - and then scroll slowly ALL the way to the bottom. CAUTION: if you use the scroller to the FAR RIGHT of your screen or the "Click to view image album" feature...you will NOT see all the images. OVER 2,600 TRANSACTIONS WITH HAPPY PEOPLE! PAYMENT DETAILS: Payment is due within 3-business days of auction's end via Bank to Bank Wire Transfer. ABOUT ME: I am an avid car enthusiast. After retiring from 30 years of sales and marketing in a Global 100 company, I formed Murphy Endeavors, LLC and began buying and selling classic cars as a collector and for friends and clients. This impeccable Nova belongs to a fellow classic car enthusiast. Please note that I have had over 2,600 eBay transactions with happy folks and have sold classic cars to eBay customers in Brazil, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Germany, Australia, Russia, Canada, Japan, and throughout the United States. IMPORTANT FINAL REMARKS, CONDITIONS OF SALE, and VIN NUMBER DETAILS...the Buyer will receive a Notarized Bill of Sale and the original Georgia Motor Vehicle Registration. NOTE: Georgia does not require titles for 1962 vehicles and indicates those cars for which titles are not issued as "(NON-TITLE)" vehicles on their registrations. Thus the Motor Vehicle Registration for a 1962 classic such as this, also serves as the government-issued evidence of ownership. Though this 1962 Chevy has been rebuilt/refinished/restored to extremely high standards - it remains a 54 year-old automobile. The need for repairs and maintenance with any vehicle (particularly very high performance show cars that are not driven - but that are trailed to all events) is an ongoing activity - often required without notice. Therefore, this sale is strictly on an as-is and final basis with no warranties or liabilities expressed or implied. ODOMETER NOTE: As part of the restoration of this vehicle, the mileage was reset to zero with the incorporation of the modern LCD-readout odometer. Less than 200 miles (chiefly for testing) have been driven since restoration completion. The actual mileage of the Nova since new is impossible to determine, and largely irrelevant owing to its complete re-building. Every effort has been made to present this classic car completely and accurately to the best of our knowledge and resources, but errors and oversights are possible. Therefore, pre-purchase examination of the vehicle (if desired) is welcomed before the listing's end and can be easily arranged by appointment. QUESTIONS?
