I bought this truck from a farmer in le sueur Minnesota who retired the truck in 1965 due to his oil pump failing. It sat in his barn along with all of his collector tractors until march of 2015 when I bought it. The 1965 plates are still on the truck from when he last had it registered and go with the truck (the plate toppers and dash magnets are part of my personal collection and do not go with the sale) I trailered the truck to my shop and we started setting the truck up about 3 months ago. We took the engine apart and replaced the old oil pump and cleaned the engine and did a head repair with new head gasket etc. We replaced the old radiator with a new aluminum one. We did a complete tune up with points plugs wires fuel pump, carb rebuild, etc. We added a new tailgate. We put new exhaust on. We replaced the brake master cylinder with a new one and installed new wheel cylinders in the rear and new brake lines to the rear. We converted the truck to a 12 volt system and bypassed the old harness and wired headlights and the starter to run on 12 volt. This truck DRIVES GREAT! the original gas tank is bypassed and should be cleaned before using as a daily driver, we are running the truck off a aux tank now. The truck body is all steel. Make sure to check out the video and pics to really get a good feeling how solid for a survivor truck it is!the floor and frame are in great shape. This truck even has the custom vintage shift handle with the flower inlay and amber knob. It has the original seat in good shape but could use a seat cover. The doors open and shut with no sag. The windows go up and down but driver door needs new glass. The windshield cranks in and out but could use some lubing to make it easier. If you are a follower of my classics we sell,Of all of the pre war truck I have ever had and sold (which have been many) this by far in my opinion is one of the most solid and true driving trucks I have offered for sale. The truck shifts all gears with ease. The trans had no noise or chatters. The engine purrs like a kitten with no knocks, misses or smoke. Here is a truck you can drive and enjoy as you tinker with it to the level you want it. The tires are usable and hold air but I would replace the tires with new ones if you are going to be using it as a daily driver. this truck comes with a clean and clear title ready for you to register. I do not want to overcall it or undercall it, let the pics, video, and description tell the story. I recommend coming yourself to check out the truck by appointment or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you. I require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. If I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I can recommend shippers I have used in the past who have been very reasonable. If you have any questions at all, please call 563 568 5111 or 563 568 1182. Thanks and have fun bidding on this very rare survivor 1939 Chevy pick up truck!
