1950 Chevrolet Other Description

1950 CHEVY BUSINESS COUPE

FACTS- these cars are rare, especially in original paint. This is an honest car. The car has had two small features in Hot Rod (Deluxe) magazine. Original and matching ’50 Texas plates. Clear Texas title.

MECHANICAL- 1,500 miles since complete engine rebuild (’74 Chevy 350). Canfield heads, Eagle crank, Ross pistons, .30 overbore, Edelbrock intake and carburetor, MSD coil/module/distributor, new ministarter, new radiator and electric fan. Turbo 350 tranny (newer) from TCI. 3.55 rear end. Lokar shifter. Disc brakes in front with newer rotors. Newer battery. Newer exhaust with cutouts.

BODY- all original and original paint. Some rust in trunk. Half of each floor pan has been replaced (to a very high standard). Floor pans painted with POR-15 and then covered with Eastwood’s sound deadener. Some cracked glass and new door glass (thicker than the original so it goes up tough).

SUSPENSION- frame C’d and Z’d. The front end has been clipped and has a Camaro front end from the firewall forward. C’d in rear with trailing arms, panhard bar, etc. Needs new shocks (current shocks have too much travel). Original steel wheels, but rear wheels have new hoops changing the offset and width. Newer tires.

INTERIOR- mostly newer stuff, nothing too exciting. Nicely done.

NEEDS- what does this car need? Needs new shocks. It leaks a little when it rains. Could use new door and trunk rubber.

The car is for sale locally, I reserve the right to end the auction early if need be. Feel free to ask any and all questions.
