1965 Chrysler Newport Coupe Excellent Driver – Daily-Driven by Previous Owner! B-Series 383ci Big Block V8 / Automatic Transmission Many Recent Services – New Shocks, Springs, Disc Brakes VIN: C153185902 Paint: Nassau Blue Metallic (DD1) Trim: Red Vinyl (L9R) Body: 2dr Hardtop (C12) Engine #: 2468130-4, Date Stamped 12/29/1964 Exterior: - Please see the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. Blemishes are all shown close-up and under direct sunlight. - While the car was originally Nassau Blue Metallic, an absolutely gorgeous color,... it was repainted black at some point many years ago. Paint was not done to a very high standard and there are a handful of visible tape lines, overspray, etc. The most glaring spot are the dull rearmost portions of the quarters. Again, please defer to the video for a close look. - Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free. Lights and signals are all functional. Driver’s rear window has trouble rolling up and down without coming off-track, other ones are all good. - Panel fitment is good and doors open and close nice and smooth. - 15” Torque-Thrust-style wheels are excellent, with no curb rash, and BFG Radial T/A tires are close to new. DOT number indicates they were manufactured in 2018. - While the paint isn’t great, the body is nice and dry. No bubbling to be found, even along the bottom of the doors and corners of the quarters. - Polished pieces are in great shape. This car was garage-kept and it shows. Minimal oxidation on the bumpers and trim, a nice mirror-like finish. Interior: - Interior is quite good, with just a handful of signs of age. The car wears a dash pad, as there are a couple cracks in the dash top. There are also a few small scratches and markings on the lower dash. - Original red vinyl seats are in good shape. A few burst seams on the driver’s seat bottom, but the seats feel great and still have a nice deep color to them. Rear seats are excellent. Car will also come with two nice, hefty red sheepskin seat covers for the front. - Door panels are in nice shape, with no kicked-open markings or other damage. Armrests have been replaced and are a brighter red than the rest of the door panel. - White perforated headliner is clean and tight, sunvisors hold their position. - Red carpet is very nice, with no significant fraying or discoloration both front and rear. - Aftermarket temperature gauge has been fitted below the dash. Gauges are all functional. Five digit odometer reads 55,460 and is functional, though we cannot verify its accuracy. - Air conditioning is functional and blows ice cold. R12 compressor has been converted for R134a. Fan and heat are also functional. Original radio is not functional. Wipers are good, as are the wiper sprayers. Mechanical / Underbody: - Please take a look through the underbody photos, as the car is documented in detail. This car looks quite good underneath. Extremely dry and solid. - The car runs and drives phenomenally well. It starts right up first turn, idles cool and steady, pulls hard through the gears, shifts smoothly, has excellent steering, and the ride quality is great. No shakes, rattles, or other noises or tendencies of concern. The car tracks straight down the road, and brakes straight and effectively. No active leaks either, which is great to see. Please inquire for scanned service records, but this car has been very well taken care of by the previous owner. She actually daily-drove the car throughout the summer months, and serviced it accordingly. Shocks, springs, and tires are all new last year, and the four wheel disc brakes have recently been gone through as well. A very confidence-inspiring driver. Fly in and drive home without hesitation.
