1924 Chrysler B 70 Description

This 1924 Chrysler is # 8966 of Chryslers first production run. It was the finest mass produced car in the world when it was introduced. It came with 4 wheel hydraulic brakes, and the engine was one of the first to be 'pressure lubricated', allowing it to run some 70 MPH! The engine has been completely re-built. It was removed, stripped down and 'boiled out'. The main ( 7 ) and rod bearings have all been re-poured babbiting and machined to fit a reground crankshaft. The seven main bearings were 'line bored' within 002. of an inch. The 'rod bearings' were each hand machined. The engine has less than 300 miles on it. The radiator is also new. It has wood spoke wheels, and the running boards have aluminum step plates. The upholstery is in very good condition. As shown in the pictures, there are side curtains for the rear passengers, and a custom car cover. I have the original license plate, the original purchase order, ( it was ordered from the Walter Patton Car Co., Seattle, Wa. ) and the original registration application, the original owners manual, and the lubrication chart. I used the car for parades, especially the Veterans Day Parade with a WWII vet in the car, plus numerous car shows. The Chrysler originally sold for $1535, which was a lot of money in 1924. It was considered the top of the line in luxury cars! Buyer to arrange for shipping. If interested, make an offer!
