1972 Datsun Z-Series Description

Well maintained 240Z, recently installed new brake discs and rotors, new clutch & throw out bearing. Transmission shifts into all gears nicely. All u-joints replaced, oversized radiator installed. Motor runs well and runs cool. Oil pressure is strong. Tires are in very good shapewith plenty of tread remaining. Dashboard has no cracks and is in excellent shape. Small wear on driver seat, rest of interior is in excellent condition. Car was owned by 70 year old gentlemen who bought it in 1976 from original owner. Car was repainted one time, has surface rust on lower front & rear fenders, however no holes are present. Prior owner sealed rust on inside of hatch back latch surface, not visible with hatch back closed. Fender and door gaps are excellent. Floors, inner rockers, trunk floor are all extremely solid. It is very apparent the car was well cared for and stored inside. This is a very solid 240Z. I do not drive the car as much as I intended, it deserves to be exercised more so it is time to let it go.

A few people have asked about photos of rust on lower fenders. I have attached photos of driver front and rear fender, and passenger rear fender. A couple spots size of nickles are starting to bubble and can be fixed easily by skilled body repair shop.Right rear lower fender was sealed with a wax type substance to keeprust from spreading.Rear hatch inner locking panel surface hassurface rust. Prior owner gobbed silicone on it to prevent rust from spreading. I have not pealed any of the silicone off. I am toldthis is a common rust area on 240Z's. This is a flat panel that could be repaired easily if need be.Floors and trunk are rock solid.

Regarding asking price, I attached the NADA value and I believe average retail is appropriate, however reserve is somewhere between low retail and average retail. Bid to win, this car is a solid example and will bring much enjoyment to next owner.I drove the car back and forth to work the past two days and have mixed emotions about selling it. It is fun to drive, starts great, runs strong, and turns ona dime.Very fun car to drive.
