1971 Datsun Z-Series 240z Series 1 Matching Numbers Rust Free Description

Purchased in 1987 from the originalowner, this car has been with the same owner since. This is not a restored car. It is a well maintained and well kept car that is in exceptional condition for its age.
The body is in excellent condition, straight and clean with one respray of the original color 5 years ago. There are only a few minor nicks in the paint and one more significant scratch on the drivers side rear quarterbelow the marker light. The body floors undercarriage ect are all rust free and solid. The closest thing you can call rust is the battery tray but it is all solid with no damage, just solid colored metal no damage and the drivers floor has some that may appear in pictures too be but it is 100% solid no damage.
The interior is in great condition. The original dash is beautiful with no cracks or damage.Everything works with exception of the dash clock and theantenna. Years agosomeone broke off the antenna. It was removed and comes with the car but needs repair or replacement.
The motor runs Excellent. It was rebuilt by Top End Performancein the early 2000s and cost $4,700 back then (have the invoicefor $3750 and trying to locate the final invoice that cost $4700 when it was complete) for a performancebuild. Roughly 40k miles have been put on the car since then. It fires right up and is very responsive at the same time. The 5-speed transmission was inspected and said to be in excellentcondition; shifts smooth in all gears has no issues.
Center forcedual frictionclutch was installed along with a center forcelightenedflywheel. Also has a LSD rear end. I don't know the ratio or specifics but it was an up sellat the shop that was recommended with the rest of the work being done to it. Will light up the tires easy if you want to, and lays rubber on both sides. The car is A/Cequipped but when the motor was rebuilt the A/C was purposelyleft off. The hoses are on the car and the pump condenserand brackets are in a box that comes with the car.
Only dealer or high quality products were used on this car. The carbs were rebuilt 4 years ago and function perfectly today. It drives great with no pulling or shaking suspension and brakes are great. I recently drove it just over 100 miles from stop and go to cruising on the freewayat80+ MPH with no issues. This car was used as a movie car throughout the 1990s and was in many feature filmsincluding Boogie Nights.
