1933 DeSoto 2 Door Sedan
1933 DeSoto 2 Door Custom Description
1933 DeSoto 2 door Sedan, Serial Number 5057420 on door pillar indicates it was the 1,419th Standard Six built in Detroit, 1933.
The title is clean and registered as a 1932. Just letting you know, one of those early years things I suppose but do not know history.
I bought this car a few months ago with intentions of rebuilding with a 330 DeSoto Hemi etc etc
However I just found a ’34 Plymouth Coupe and can’t keep both!
~This car is far from perfect but it’s rare and very much worth saving
~The ’33 has one of the coolest grilles ever created and this one’s nearly perfect…actually I would say the fins are perfect! Doors open and close fine but handles fall off on the inside sometimes
~Windshield wiper motors seem to have been removed by previous owner. It had dual wipers
~Windshield has been caulked in place and does not have the arms
~Someone riveted sheet metal skins in the rear wheel openings and fiber meshed them in it seems(see photo)
~350 crate motor(I was told), auto trans, new Demon carb and new electric fans(installed by previous owner)
~Rear end is a Chrysler 8-3/4” ‘741’(1-3/8” pinion)(mid-60’s)
It fires right up-every time, lights work, windows roll up and down but are difficult, drivers glass has a crack, brakes work but pull hard to the right
This car will need brake adjustment for sure and other items to cruise to Cars and Coffee or anywhere really
