1969 Dodge A108/A100 Travco Family Wagon

I'm offering for sale, at NO RESERVE, to the highest bidder - a very groovy 1969 A108 - family wagon. I'm very confident that with a big brown dog, and some dog treats, you will be able to solve any mystery!

First of all, this is a completely rust free and original van. I know a lot of vehicles look better in pictures, in my opinion this one looks better in person, depending on what you are wanting. Yes, it does have old paneling, but it also has all the original curtains, they just need to be washed. I could have spray painted the wheels white, and it probably would have helped appearances quite a bit, but I wanted it to be seen exactly as I found it. The only things I have done to this van are rinse it off and vacuum it out.

I am not exactly sure how this van made it to Kansas, but it is originallya California vehicle, as it still has its original Long Beach dealership tag plaque, as well as an old San Diego map and California registration in the glove box. This would explain the rust free part. This van does need a little mechanical work. The engine runs, but very rough. It appears the previous owner attempted a tune up, as it has a new distributor cap and plug wires. I'm not sure if he got something switched around, or if it still needs something else. It just sounds as if the engine is laboring to keep running. No knocking, no overheating, carries decent oil pressure, just runs rough. The brakes work, the transmission shifts fine, as I have had it up to speed on the highway, but the engine needs some attention before it's truly drivable. The tires are also old, and will leak down after sitting awhile, so they could use some attention as well.

The gauges work, most or all of the lights work, the oil pressure gauge is add on. The doors open and close like new ones. It even has an automatic step that comes out when you open the side door. The body is not perfect, as it does have some dents and dings here and there, but overall, its very straight. All of the glass is very good, with the exception of a crack in one of the top sliders. It still has its original hammock. Still has the piece on front to carry a mini bike - which is easily removable if you don't want it. As I said, I could have probably removed or added a few things to make it show better in the pictures. But this thing is truly a time capsul, and I wanted it to show as such.

I have seen these vans bring crazy money recently, so if you don't mind spending a little time on one, this is a great opportunity to save a lot of money, and still be starting out with a great, straight, rust free van!
