In 1972, about 45 yrs ago, 8700 Demons left the factory with
a 340 for an original motor, this is 1 of those survivors.
How many do you really think are left on the road or in a garage
somewhere ? Not many thats for sure.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
you are looking at an original 1972 Dodge Dart - Demon with the original matching numbers
340 under the hood, that was last registered in CA in 1989. A true survivor almost barn find.
Thats not to say its been parked since 89, its been started and driven a handful of times
since then, but not a daily driver. Word from the previous owners family is, their brother who
owned the car, rebuilt the engine yrs ago and converted the car from an auto to a 4 spd and
never got to finish the car. The conversion is a little messy around the floorboard mods made
for the linkage etc to fit. LIfe got in the way and it became less of a priority as the yrs went
on. He always had intentions to finish it, but never did. The car has been in either CALIF or
ARIZONA its whole life. All the red paint you see on the car we believe is all original. The
vinyl top was removed many yrs ago (smart move, other then mild surface rust, its in great
shape as it is also around the bottom of the rear window by the trunk) . The black stripes you
see also we believe are from 1972. The car also has factory PDB up front and A/C and PS.
We poured gas down the carb and after a several tries, the motor ran. Finally the starter
started going out and thats where we stopped. Also we had to start it by jumping the selenoid
under the hood. It wont crank with the key right now. Not sure what the wiring issue is.
The winner, of course has their option on whether they want to keep the 4 spd in it or maybe
go back to an auto. Rearend looks original .
ODOMETER shows 25k . being sidelined since 89, maybe its originally, but cant verify
I didnt look at the bushings or balljoints close enough to see if they where original or not.

DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people
who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules.
So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition
that are still affordable to most buyers.

DRIVETRAIN: the motor is the original matching #s 340 with some bolt
on performance mods as you can see. ( headers, intake, carb, and from what
weve been told, its suppose to have a mild cam in it.) We do have the original
air cleaner for the car, it will be in the trunk. We dont have the other factory
parts removed 20 yrs ago. Not sure what the donar 4 spd is out of, but we did
post pics of some #s we could see on it. The motor was suppose to have been
gone thru again as told to us by the family, and after being under it all over, I
tend to believe them. Evidence of brass freeze plugs, new paints (yrs ago) and
other things add up. Fix the wiring, starter etc, maybe clean out the gas tank
and you should have a running Demon.

INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, the interior needs work. Headliner
rear panels and seat not in bad shape. Maybe do carpet, dash and put a
set of original front seats up front and the interior could be very acceptable
for a daily. Of course also address the 4 spd conversion floor stuff. The floorboards
from front to rear are in amazing shape as far as rust free condition goes.
Im still looking for the Broadcast sheet when I have time. I believe all the glass is
still the original PPG stuff. Radio not original and some cutting on the dash
from back in the 70s. Not pretty, but all fixable.

EXTERIOR:the body pretty straight for its age, and original paint is a nice touch.
Both lower rear quarters had very mild rot on the outter drop downs and what you
see now is evidence of someones attempt at fixing those areas. They need to be done
correctly on a car this valuable and rare. Super solid rocker, trunk, door bottoms etc.
I believe all the sheetmetal on this car to be original. Chrome on the front bumper
is on great shape, rear not as nice, but straight. Cool Demon tail lights.

SUSPENSION:the suspension lookfrom what I can see looks and seems very
original and stock. Front end may of been lowered by the torsions by the looks
of things. The 14" dish mags are nice period correct rims. The spare in the trunk
is 1 of the original polyglass tires from 72 on 1 of the original Mopar ralley wheels.

Minimal rust under the car, so if you decide to do a total resto on this car for some
reaon, it makes taking this car apart, almost a breeze !! I think it would be more
advantageous to do a mild restoration on this car, keeping in mind they are only
original once.So maybe fix the mechanicals first, interior back to original, maybe
do something with the repair spots, paint the top or put your vinyl top back on...
AND leave it like that !! Just my 2¢

There you have it, probably The BEST represented MOPARS on Ebay.

Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes.
Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort
of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.

Email us with ANY questions before you bid please
Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as
much feasibly possible via pics.
Dont let auctions withlittle to no pics try to fool you.
If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car they
