We have had the car for 38 years and drove the car every so often and logged another 3500 miles on the car. This Hemi Challenger R/T now has 33,955 ACTUAL original miles on the odometer!
This car has been fully restored and/or refreshed. Completed 5 years ago and put on display at Floyd Garretts Muscle Car Museum in Tennessee for 2 years. Only 10 miles have been added to the odometer since restoration.
The Hemi Challenger R/T is at least 90% original including all the sheet metal. Never wrecked or damaged. Repainted in the correct EF8 rare dark metallic green. The engine is the correct date coded factory warranty replacement block and all the drive train is numbers matching and original to the car. The dash( which is in perfect shape) console, shifter, steering wheel, door panels, all glass, shaker Hoo, ETC ETC are original to the car and have just been cleaned and or refreshed but do show some "very normal” light wear of an original 33,000 mile car.
Our Hemi Challenger R/T has been in the family for 37 years. We have the original owners lien release, three different original build sheets, both original unrestored fender tags, complete Chrysler Registry Report, Hamtramick Historical Registration letter, and near perfect Dodge Dealer parts Catalog included in the sale.
Galen Govier has done a complete report on the car and states in the report that our 1970 Hemi Challenger R/T is “one of one” ever built in this color and with these options. Dodge only built around 150 Hemi Challenger R/T's with an automatic transmission in 1970. Our Hemi car is also the only know example of a 70 Hemi Challenger R/T with a rare shaker hood and deluxe houndstooth interior. Some other options are super track pack with dana 60 w 4.10 gears, power disc brakes, deluxe interior, am/8 track radio, rear adjustable speakers, and side stripe delete with painted bumble bee rear strip.
Our Hemi Challenger is NOT a resurrected junkyard rust bucket, or a so called "Barnfind" brought back from the dead. But a true real 1970 Hemi Challenger thats had only two owners since it was sold new in 1970 and has had in the same owner since 1979.
The Hemi Challenger R/T starts, runs, and drives like new.
