1971 Dodge Challenger Convertible R/T Description

Hi Guys,
Awesome project car here. I just doubled down on a Sixpack Shaker Cuda and I'm going to put a few of my projects up for sale. I running out of room and just chipped the paint on one of my finished cars this past weekend, I need the space. This Challenger you see here is one I had to have but now its time to pass the torch. I paid $8,500 for this car last August. It has clear transferable paperwork in my name, no salvage or liens recorded. Fender tag and matching build sheet which is so hard to find in a convertible is also included. This Convertible is being sold at NO RESERVE. Winning bidder takes it all.
Its so hard to find affordable E-Body convertibles. Most are rotten to the ground or priced to the moon. With so few made from day one and only being produced for two years E-body convertibles are the most prized cars in the collector community.
Dodge never made a 1971 Challenger convertible R/T,ever, period. With that said you could still get a 383 or 340 and a shaker hood which those uber rare cars bring over 100K +. The power bulge hood this car has is optional for 71 convertibles as well.
This car has super solid areas where it counts. All of the one off convertible areas are near perfect and rust free. With that said expect a full restoration, areas that need attention are trunk floor, quarters, drivers floor and more, one would expect to be rust from a 50 year old convertible. Expect to patch items throughout. I believe the car was in a light front end collision at one point because one of the front frame rails was partially replaced. The previous owner started on this repair and replacement front aprons are partially installed as well. The front K-frame and suspension was swapped out for a 1970 Bigblock assembly, again this was done before I owned the car.
Authentic 71 R/T hood is rust free and real 71 fenders are a great start.

Notation, front Mag wheels are not included with sale of the car, the car will be sold with Cragars that always held air and will suite transportation perfectly.
Included in auction but not pictured:
440 complete engine, carb to pan...everything... including the belts and fan are still on it.
727 Big Block torqueflight. (engine and transmission are together and I can put in place for ease of transportation).
NOS driveshaft complete with yoke.
1970 Cuda seats that are a bit crunchy but come with tracks.
Rear Bumper cores (will need chroming by Tricity plating)
Back seat
Convertible frame
2 New quarter panels, one has been cut below the belt line and fitted.
Factory slapstick is still in car with the shifting rod and bellcrank.
There's more and I'll post details as I remember.
Doors are the original Convertible specific doors and have the strikers and convertible wedges, original convertible glass still in the doors too.
