1951 Dodge Power Wagon
This is one sturdy old Power Wagon!
This was owned by the Heritage Wood Company out of Idaho Springs, Colorado.
The body on the old power wagon has seen some action over the years. The cab and frame are rock solid. With some messaging and paint it could look brand new. Myself I like the patina the old truck wears.
There is not much to say about the interior. The seat is nice and the floors are solid. The crank and mechanism for the front window is intact. The side windows do roll up and down but the windows are cracked. There is a new window for the back.
None of the guages seem to be working. The headlights and taillights do work! The inside door lock is missing on the driverside the passenger side is in the door but has problems latching.
The Flat head six turns over on the first crank and runs smooth. No smoke or weird noises.
I took the old dodge for a drive or should I say it took me for a drive!
The high low range works. I shifted through all the gears and they worked as well. The brakes are a little tricky you have to pump them up!
The pto driven winch goes in and out with no problems.
If you are reading this you know how hard these power wagons are to find !
If you have been looking for a running solid Power Wagon project to spend your hard earned money on this is the one.
