1973 Dodge Charger Description

DODGE CHARGER FANS! I HATE DOING THIS BUT IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON! This is your chance to bid on and own an original 2 owner 1973 Dodge Charger SE. It has the factory 400 cubic inch Big Block and a replacement 727 Automatic Transmission. It has a vinyl interior that was replaced about 10 years ago with the factory correct material. It has most of the original paint. It was bought from East Los Angeles Dodge but has spent much of it's life in Phoenix Az with me and my wife. Typical of Arizona cars there is only the slightest hint of rust, one dime size spot in the lower door. It runs and drives. Has GREAT oil pressure. Car was parked in 2011 and not driven until this past week. It has a NEW Edelbrock 1405 carbueratorLess than a week old. Has white letter tires with less than 200 miles on them. It has all the trim. If you look at the windshield, the original California emissions tag is there. The speedometer was replaced but the odometer was kept. Speedo stopped just before being parked, so the miles are close. Had 105,000 when we bought it 16 years ago, 139,000 now. I chose to do very little to it and drive it the way it was. So YOU are getting a car that is way better than most you ever find here. AS A REMINDER, THIS CAR IS SOLD AS IS-WHERE IS! When I receive full payment, you receive two sets of key and a signed title. There are no other promises than that.
ISSUES: I don't like people to be surprised. It is an unrestored 43 year old car. It stumbles and idles rough, probably in the ignition system (think it is voltage). The fuel system is new. It can be driven but doing so very far would be risky. The transmission only has about 10,000 miles on it, but after sitting for 5 years, it slips when you first start it (acts like the pump is draining while sitting). After a few moments that goes away and it drives fine. It was a bullet proof series built by accurate transmission. If you let it get worked on I WOULD NOT let themexchange it. Rebuild that one instead!) The doorsbind a little when fully open. Most of the interior is pretty nice, but the drivers door panel is totally shot. There are also a couplesmall holes on the drivers side seat back due to a spring coming loose on the inside.Anything can be fixed. Has a cracked dash pad. Has dash cover and a dash cap that will come with the car. It has the original headliner with no rips, but it has shrunk over the years and pulled away from the sail panels. I can tell the rear quarter panel was hit before I owned it (you can see where holes were drilled to pull it out and a few bondo ribbons filling it.) All gauges work but the speedometer. It was replaced many years ago with a 150 mph unit. Odometer was kept so miles were kept. It will need under dash wiring and the radio is a hole filler and not wired in. Shift needle does not move. Dash bezel needs screwed back in. There are other minor issues, BUT AGAIN, it is 43 years old with most of the original parts!
GOODIES AND EXTRA'S! This car is as well documented as you can get. I have the original sales contract, owners manual, sales brochure, my sales contract, and someplace (not pictured yet) original build sheet and original license plate frame) You will not find many better restoration starting places than you will on this one. DON'T MISS OUT!
THE LEGAL STUFF! Bidding is buying. Being a retired cop I have seen every imaginable scam, so don't think about it. This is cash only, bank transfer, postal money orders. (Already had someone try to pass a fake cashiers checkpast me on something else, it didn't work). No payments. PAYPAL is ok if you have that kind of buying power! NO CREDIT CARDS!YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for your own shipping. I will help load it or drive it on the trailer. I follow the NON PAYING BIDDER process to the letter. I file after three days. After seven I have EBay close the case and list the offender as a non-paying bidder. NO EXCUSES! NO DELAYS! If full payment is not made in 7 days, I will re-list, call the offender out by name, ban the from my auctions and encourage others to do the same. If that seems harsh, find another car to buy. If you get past all that you will have something REALLY WORTH HAVING! THESE DO NOT COME UP OFTEN AND MOST ARE RUSTED OUT HULKS! Look at my feedback. I am a serious seller, are you a serious buyer? There is a reason I do not have a reserve or a buy it now. I believe in the auction process, and giving people that are considering a bid the full time to do so.That being said, I WILL NOT END THE AUCTION EARLY.Thank you for looking and HAPPY BIDDING!
PLEASE ASK QUESTION!

REMINDER! This car will only be shipped in the US. To bid you must have at least a feedback score of 10, with a at least a 90 percent rating. I apologize in advance if this offends anyone, however it protects not only my interests, but the interests of all serious buyers.

Someone asked a question that I forgot to add. This charger has a non-locking 8.25 rear end with I think 2.76 highway gears. Not as much out of the hole, but great top end and livable gas mileage.

Good news / Bad news :The good news is that I have found extra parts which now go with the car. It includes parts resource books, an extra set of front bumper extensions, the original set of rear extensions (Though slightly chewed up), rear quarter panel trim (forgot I had these). The bad news, minor thoughit is, is that as of yet, I have not found the build sheet and license plate frame. I know I have them, because I am a pack-rat and would have never gotten rid of anythingrelated to this car. With the address of the winning bidder, I will be more than happy to forward them to you as soon asI find the box I put them. HAPPY BIDDING!
