1968 Dodge Other Pickups Description

1968 DODGE D-200 PICKUP TRUCK

Pretty clean old dodge pickup truck. Grandpa truck. 99.99% original and unmodified. Two of the original hubcaps are missing. It's pretty much original besides that. Replacement hubcaps are included. All the details below. Thanks.

DRIVETRAIN

This truck has the 318 V8 2-barrel. It looks completely stock. 4-speed manual transmission. The truck runs nice and starts right up every time. It doesn't smoke. Motor sounds smooth. Runs cool. I have just driven it around my place and briefly on the highway. It has old bias ply tires on it. It drove ok, but clearly needs tires. I have a nice set of low mileage radials I'm including with it. The odometer says 98,209 and I think it's original. The lights all work. Heater and wipers work. It never had a radio. I planned on putting dual exhaust on it and driving it this summer. I have a lot of projects in front of this one, so I've decided to sell it. The master cylinder sticks just enough that the brake lights will stay on sometimes and you have to pull it back about a half inch to shut the lights off. You can hone the master cylinders but they are inexpensive. Brakes should be bled and checked out. I would do a basic tuneup on it and fluid changed but it doesn't necessarily need that.

BODY

The body is very solid on this pickup. It has a couple minor rust spots. These are: both rockers under the door. These model trucks have very small rockers. The rust is kind of hard to see and easy to fix if you decide to. It's not structural at all either. The only other rust spot is below the drivers side tail light. This is a small spot down by the bumper. You can only see it in one pic I believe, of the drivers side of the truck. The body has some bumps and dings. You can see it all in the pics. It's not perfect and priced accordingly. It is a clean old driver though and wouldn't be hard to paint. The steps on the cab are in nice shape which I think is a problem area on these trucks. The pictures pretty much tell the story but feel free to ask questions. The frame and undercarriage have no rust.

INTERIOR

The interior is pretty basic and minimal. The seat is in ok shape but has a couple cuts in it. The headliner is gone I believe but I'll double check that. It was probably a cardboard style and they are cheap to replace. The dash area is in good shape and not cutup. The interior, and the truck overall, is very original and unmolested.

This old classic is 51 years old and sold as-is. Thanks.
