1970 Dodge Charger Description

This auction is for my 1970 Dodge Charger R/T SE 440 4 bbl 4 speed car. This is a fairly complete car that is in need of total restoration. It does have the original fender tag, possible broadcast sheet, still have to check. It is a very desirable FC7 plum crazy car with black vinyl top, black leather interior and a black tail stripe originally. It is a true D21 coded pistol grip 4 speed car with a A33 axle 3:54 Dana 60 rear axle.

The car does have a NOM 1969 HP 440 engine in it with a matching NOM 18 spline hemi four speed transmission. The engine turns over nicely, but has not been attempted to run. The original Dana 60 is still out back with the original hemi suspension leaf springs and original driveshaft.

The exterior of the car was repainted orange back in the day and the body has seen better days. The car does have nice front and rear frame rails, the trans crossmember is solid, but there was a section cut for header clearance long ago. Engine bay isnt bad, will need a small section repaired on the inner right apron, left apron is surprisingly good. Good hood, useable doors, extra clean trunk lid comes with it.Front fenders have holes and should be replaced, outer rocker panels have holes and should be replaced. Usual Charger rust after that, quarters, trunk, trunk drop offs, rear valance, valance corners, dutchman panel. Tail panel looks ok. Car comes with some new sheet metal as well. New AMD outer wheel houses, clean original dutchman panel, trunk drop offs.

The interior of the car is not bad. Original bucket seats in good shape, clean original rear seat, door panels arent bad, upper door pads aren even fair. Dash is in nice shape, with original tic tok tach in place. It is missing the original radio and radio bezel. Dash pad is even in fair shape. The floor boards in the car are overal not bad. There will be a small section welded in the drivers front floor board as pictured. All other interior floors look ok. Woodgrain steering wheel has no cracks. All seat belts are in place still.

The car does not run and will need to be trailered.Overall a great resto project and it is solid in the right places. The car does have a clean title. Very fair reserve on a desirable Chager.Any additional questions can be directed to me at (734)624-2212. Thanks and good luck bidding, Dave.
