1971 Dodge Challenger R/T Description

This R/T was born as you see it with these great colors and features. Vin #s match on motor, trans, fender tag, core support, cowl, dash tag and door sticker. Arizona car with original metal.
It comes with restoration photos, misc receipts, some owner history including Arizona title and a Mopar parts catalog it was featured on the cover.
EXTERIOR: Born as you see it! Factory high impact Green Go color without a vinyl top. Factory white side stripes, chrome racing mirrors and sport hood with pins. Lived in Arizona the first 22 years of its life. Has clean original panels. We have photos of the car stripped down to metal. Front clip was removed. Fenders were dry stripped bare, doors and 1/4 panels were taken down to bare. We have photos to prove it. The body is very straight, the door fits so well it looks like all one panel front to back. The paint is polished like a green mirror. White R/T decals are excellent. Bumpers were rechromed, stainless around the windows is polished, door handles are mint, has correct antenna. Grill and tailpanel are clean original. Jambs were painted nice, bottom edge of the doors are clean. Weatherstrips are soft.
INTERIOR: Restored to original condition down to the am radio. Has Rallye dash with factory gauges and tachometer. Dash pad was professionally restored by Just Dashes. Instrument panel is very clean and tidy, there's nothing broken or damaged. Heater controls, original steering wheel is nice. Clean original console has the slap stick shifter. Seats have been reupholstered, door panels replaced. Excellent headliner and carpet. Has some embroidered floor mats.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: We have pictures of the engine bay stripped to bare metal, no rust or damage. It was completely painted body color. The original 340 runs strong. Original fender tag is still attached, vin on cowl and core support match. Engine is painted the correct orange, it does have an Edelbrock intake and carb. Alternator looks new, the components on the firewall look new. Every thing is proper: the fan and shroud, washer bottle etc. It has power steering.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: We also have pictures of the trunk compartment taken down to bare. It has original trunk floor and 1/4s, that is rare in a Mopar. It was then repainted body color. Has jack assembly and rubber mat. New weatherstrip and decal.
UNDERSIDE: The floors, frame rails are completely rust free original metal. We have pictures of the bottom taken down to bare floors, sealed and painted body color. The chassis components were then restored. Rebuilt steering and suspension. Bottom of the motor is clean, the matching vin # is stamped just above the oil pan. Has high torque starter. The 727 Torqueflite was rebuilt, has #s matching vin. Has nice exhaust system with crossover pipe, Dynamax mufflers and correct square tips. Brake system was redone, e-brake is hooked up. Fuel tank, sending unit and lines were replaced.
Wow, it is truly rare to find a Challenger with its original metal and #s matching throughout. Very desirable colors and a high quality restoration!
