1976 Fiat 124 Spider Convertible 2-Door Description

1976 Fiat 124 Spider 1800 – 76,818 miles

We have owned this vehicle for 24 years and used it very little (less than 7k miles) and it is time for it to go to a new owner to finish the job or just enjoy it the way it is. I can provide more pictures, but the ones shown provide the best look/angle for presentation purposes.

When first purchased in 1993 and it did not run or drive...the brakes calipers and rotors & pads were replaced initially to make it safe for the road. Then it needed some engine electrical work to get it running properly too. Some very basic body repair & paint was done just to make it look somewhat presentable, but more work needs to be done if you want it to look good.

What it needs currently to be on the road is the (supplied) master cylinder and brake bleeding...but I am just not in the mood or physical condition to deal with it, so the buyer must do that.

Future recommended upgrades/repairs include: finish body work; replace top (approx. $225); replace relay or sending unit for electric cooling fan to be automatic instead of switched (spare parts provided); swap dash (if desired, and is included) due to crack near vents – very common problem; miscellaneous minor items that are typical on a 41 year old vehicle and restoration project...or you can just drive the thing!

What has been done in the last couple of years: new 13” wider stance tires on previously upgraded wheels; used fuel tank installed; electric fuel pump, lines & filter installed in trunk a couple years ago; plugs/wires/cap/rotor/points & condensers/coil last year; battery this year.

This old girl does fire right up, and all gears work – the brakes will grab at a very low driveway speed but otherwise e-brake is required to stop...even the non-oem radio works.

Includes a bunch of used (electrical, gauges, wiring, interior – dash, and other misc. parts) and new parts (oil filters, sending units, suspension.)

A Paypal deposit of $755.00 is required to purchase this and balance in cash is due at time of pick up. I recommend you plan to tow-dolly or trailer it away because of the brakes, and it has not been on the road in more than 2 years, even though it might be drivable using only the e-brake. Bear in mind it is a vintage car and must be treated as such.

Thanks for looking.
