1974 Fiat X1/9
VIN: 128AS0023674
Mileage: 80,231
Offered for auction is a rare 1974 Fiat X1/9. This Fiat has been my favorite go to for carving out back curvy roads, but the time has come for me to let it go to a new owner. It needs a visit to the workshop to sort out some issues. A major service was done at 44140 miles. Clutch was replaced at 44140 miles.
Engines runs strong! All electrics work to the best of my knowledge. Ignition switch failed so now car is equipped with run switch and pushbutton ignition. Manual choke is sticks so I don’t use it and maybe carburetor needs rebuilt. Hood cable and bay cables need replaced. Transmission doesn’t shift easily, and leaks clutch fluid or brake fluid from master cylinders above brake pedal. Courtesy light is missing. I suspect a coolant leak because I see steam inside the car on a cold morning. Body has rust and bondo, including driver’s floor pan. See pictures. Strange that passenger side underneath looks clean as opposed to the driver’s side. Driver’s side mirror needs to be reinstalled.
I think I highlighted the major issues. As you can see the car needs a lot of work. I hope someone out there can complete this restoration. Please plan on towing and not driving home. Service manuals and original owner’s manual are included.
I have documentation that proves actual mileage of 80,231. Clear Pennsylvania Antique Title ready to transfer to the new owner.
