1967 Ford F-100 Description

Selling my '67 F350 to fund my '67 F250 highboy project. This truck has come a VERY long way from the day I bought it 3 years ago. It was originally an oil field truck. When the engine blew in 1969, the oil company sold it to the gentleman I purchased the truck from. He installed a 390 in place of the 352 and used it as a gin pole truck for the water well business he had. The truck was in use regularly into the late 80s. In the mid 90's the 390 was rebuilt and a new clutch installed. He stated that he doubted the truck even has 5000 miles on the rebuild because he bought a new gin pole truck around that time and used this one as more of a farm truck / back up gin pole truck after that. I've included some pictures of the truck in the condition I got it.
Here is a sampling of new parts and upgrades I've done to the truck.
Front wheel bearings with seals
Front and rear wheel cylinders
Front brake hoses
Front and rear brake shoes
Master cylinder kit is not installed but comes with the truck. The truck does stop though.
Front springs
Front shocks
Twin I beam bushings
Radius arm bushings
Carpet kit with 60's era Ford loop
Pedal pads
Gas pedal
Shifter boot
Door seals
Inner/outer window sweeps
Run channels
6 new 7.50-16 tires. Mud terrain in back and street tread up front gives this truck the perfect look.
New windshield with seal
Rear window seal
Upgrades-
One piece wheels (no more split rims!!)
Pertronix Ignition (No more points!)
Custom cab headliner trim
Custom cab windshield molding
Custom cab rear window molding
Full West Coast Hauler mirrors. This truck originally came with the single loop Jr's.
Front springs are heavy duty because I was planning on mounting a heavy winch on the front of the truck and possibly moving equipment with it. It causes a bit of negative camber, but should come down with use.
The paint shows very well but does have its flaws. I opted to not put a ton of bondo in the truck, so while it looks great over all, you can still see a minor ding and a wave here and there. There are a couple of runs as well. The truck was painted with the windows out of it. Nothing was painted with overspray. The dash, jams, behind the gas tank, gas tank, ash tray, glove box, inner cab corners etc were painted separately. All old seam sealer was pulled out and cab was resealed.
This truck came from West Texas and had nearly 0 rust in it. The floors, cab supports, common rust areas are nearly perfect. There is one tiny rust hole in the inner passenger side cab corner. It is show in the pictures.
The large Braden winch on the bed still works (wiring needs straightening up), and will be more than happy to rip your arm off if given the chance.
While this truck has come a long way, it still needs some work. The engine compartment needs a full detail. The exhaust manifolds need to be replaced (long tube headers come with truck), turn signal switch needs to be replaced (new one comes with truck), brake master cylinder needs rebuilt (kit comes with truck), tail lights need to be installed (nice originals with Ford brackets and pig tails come with truck), and some minor electrical work is needed. The oil pressure and alternator lights come on, even though the engine is producing 60psi and the alternator is charging. Probably a funky ground. The headlight switch also needs to be replaced. They come on, but the dash lights stays on. The rheostat is stuck. The clutch linkage needs some attention, it engages very close to the floor, but bites very well.
The engine fires right up and idles great. It has a lean flat spot off idle due to the leaking exhaust manifolds. You can rev it past that though. NO smoke, knocking, ticking or any unusual sounds.
If you have any questions please contact me and I'll be more than happy to answer them.
