1936 Ford Other Standard Model 68 Description

1936 Ford Slantback, Rare. I am the 3rd owner, the first family owned it for over 75 years, they sold it to a California Doctor, who I purchased it from. I have the ORIGINAL paperwork between the Ford dealer and the original buyer for the sale of the car new, that is included with the sale. It is framed in glass.
My plans were to kind of resto-mod it with a late model flathead and upgraded brakes and buff out the original paint. I have always owned Model A's and I would really like to build a '28 '29 Ford roadster on '32 rails so that is why I am selling.
Mechanically the car is very nice, rides great! Drives very tight, not all over the road. Lots of power/torque for an 85 horse flatty! I have driven this car as fast as 65 mph, but on normal cruising I would stay around 50 to 55 mph. The engine starts right up and does not smoke. Shifts all 3 gears fine, but a small amount of normal Ford clutch chatter when you start letting out the clutch in 1st gear to get rolling. I have never driven a older used Ford that did not have a small amount of clutch chatter. The brakes work good, they could use the little rubber "anti rattlers " replaced if a small occasional rattle bothers you. The battery box has some corrosion from a battery acid over 80 years. The Temperature gauge works good but has lost some of the red liquid dye color Henry put in it. It works good, just not that easy to read (replacements are available). The amp gauge is not working and gas gauge does not register. *I have a replacement amp gauge and fuel float sending unit I will include in sale*. Original style locking gas cap and the original Spare tire lock are fully functional. Has an original Ford installed heater that works good with fan. The factory firewall heat/noise insulator in in near perfect condition! Tires are good, original rims and hubcaps are excellent! Some original "Service" stickers in door jamb. ***** Just trying to be honest and point out the LITTLE things!! This is still a great car to own and drive!!!!!!!****
Body is as good as it gets! The hood lines up correctly, the doors line up correctly and do not sag (see pictures). Original Ford paint needs to be buffed out to a nice shine. I have buffed a test spot and the original lacquer will shine! The paint is not perfect (80 years old) but is not sun checked. There is a place on drivers side that the hood handle has scraped the fender a few times and also on the drivers side where the paint has a little primer (patina!) showing thru on the front hood/ radiator area (see photos). Has a nice original cream pinstripe. There is NO visible rot on the body and it it is straight...no dents or visible door dings. The glass is original, all good. The rear window has some separation showing in the glass lamination, but I was going to leave it for patina. Under the fenders there is still some faint original paint!!!!
Interior is excellent, appears to have been redone at some time. No rips, tears or visible spots....very nice. Headliner has one "faint" stain on passenger side that is barely visible. Headliner is fully intact and in excellent condition. Floor is original style rubber mats.
The "Roosevelt for President" front license plate as well as the Washington collector license plate are not sold with the car.
I have a clear Washington State title with correct V.I.N. numbers in my name.
