1947 Ford Other Description

This is a 1947 Ford Roadster. It was a coupe, and the roof was cut off and made to look like a convertible. This car was built 16 years ago and has been stored in a climate controlled garage. It has never seen rain or even a wet road. The body is all steel and was very solid to start with. I have pictures that were taken during the build that I can provide upon request, along with all receipts for the build. It sits on the original 47 coupe frame and is in great condition with no patches and is not "boxed". It has a "Bitchin Rides" Mustang II front end with power rack & pinion steering. Tubular upper control arms. Power front disc brakes. It has a 4 link rear suspension with adjustable coil-over shocks and an 8" Ford posi rear with 3:73 gears. It has a Chevy 283 motor with a mild cam and a TH350 transmission. It has an Oldsmobile tilt/telescopic steering column. "Bitchin custom dash. VDO gauges. "Ron Francis" wiring. Battery is in the trunk with a shut off switch. Has a full size spare tire in the trunk. This car runs, rides, drives, steers & handles great. Everything was replaced or rebuilt during the build including the entire drive train. It has seen very little use since its build. Since it's build, it has been driven approximately 40-50 times to the local burger joint/ice cream shop and to approximately 20 car shows where it has taken 9 trophies and it will absolutely continue to win more! Being that it was built 16 years ago, it does have a few minor blemishes in the paint. These blemishes (slight bubbling) are hardly noticeable and are mainly on the hood. I have approximately 1/3 of a gallon of the original "Viper red" single stage "PPG Concept" paint and the original primmer that was used on the car. The trunk lid has a very small spot near the trunk lid handle that the paint has slightly cracked. Like I said, these blemishes are not very noticeable as I have won 5 trophies this summer. I purchased this car from the original builder in the spring of this year. I am selling it to help fund a new business that I am starting. The pictures were taken with a cell phone and don't really reflect how nice the car really looks in person. I suggest and encourage anyone interested in it to come and see it. The car is located in Waterbury, Ct. which is 45 minutes from Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Ct. If you are interested in seeing it, I could pick you up and return you to the airport. I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, so please feel free to ask any questions you may have or if you would like more pictures or a video. You can also call me at 203-558-6650. I'm Steve. The car does come with the surfboard.
