1964 Ford F-100 Base Description

This truck is as clean as they come. I am the third owner. Sat in a barn for many years, just under 83,000 original miles. Spent most it's life in Idaho and Wyoming with no salted roads. Now in Southern California. I have had a ton of fun with this truck, even took it to the Bonneville salt flats twice. It was even in a professionally produced music video for Renee Plant on Youtube.
Truck was ordered with the optional bigger 262 cu in six. Engine runs perfectly, with a little choke, starts right up at any temperature and hauls down the road. Doesn't seem to burn any oil. The ONLY issue I've ever run into was a slightly leaky rear main after driving for more than 40 miles or so. Original 3-speed transmission shifts perfectly. 3-speed column shift - all column mechanics were rebuilt, so shifting is tight. Every wire on this truck is well preserved original. Still has the engine tag even.
Suspension is flawless as well. Front axle was replaced with a 3-inch Sid's drop axle. Front and rear springs were professionally de-arched to provide about 5-inch drop in front and 3-inch in rear. Drag link and tie-rod ends (with Sid's tie drops) were replaced recently. For a lowered truck, there is no bump steer and tracks straight down the road. A really nice ride. Rear still has enough suspension to haul a load. Nothing has been cut or C-notched. Brakes are also really solid.
Exterior is original Henry paint. Just a couple small repair areas where paint was blended in. Truck has never been repainted. Front radiator support and inner fenders have been sandblasted and powder coated. Grill and both front and rear bumpers and brackets freshly painted Wimbledon White. Some minor repair was done to the tailgate, rear bed corners and old mirror holes in doors. Original red paint still waxes up really nicely. Only rust of any concern is in the usual spots inside the bed, but nothing bad.
Interior is clean, original condition. Original headliner and paint. Steering wheel and shifter were restored. Original (rough) upholstery on seat, under the blanket.
