1990 Ford Mustang GT Description

The Good: Sharp Mustang has 5 lug 18"Cobrawheels w/275/35 ZR 18 Continental Extreme Contact tires all around with approximately 85% tread left. Base color dark blue w/carbon fiberstripe bordered by 1/4" pin stripe on the hood and trunk. Top is completely covered with the carbon fiber pattern to the top of the doors and windows. Hood is a dual intake Cervinis w/ 2 1/2" rise.I replaced thefactory trannywith a T5-based 5 speed which had been built for a 600hpdrag car thatthey changed to an automatic instead. It's mated to heavy duty clutch which did not need replacement. Lowering springs all-around gives a sleeker look and better cornering.Shorty headers feedthe modified stainlesssteel exhaust system. Aluminum radiator and electric fan negate the need for the factory engine-driven cooling fan. Under drive pulley reduces horsepower required to drive alternator and power steering pump. Factory air conditioner compressor is disconnected to conserve power but could easily be revived if so desired by the new owner. MSD wires&distributor, 6AL w/6,000 RPM rev limiter chip, and Blaster TFI 8227 coil ensure a hot spark and no accidental over revs.Rollerfollowers ensure accurate valve movement from the E-303 3/4 race cam. Other internal modifications may have been made before I purchased the car.Cold air intake insures a fresh supply of cool, clean air for combustion. Monster tach is dash mounted withadjustable shift light. Hurst shifter and boot complete the vintage driving compartment. It has a Pioneer radio which I seldom use. The paint is a "20 footer". It could use a repaint with proper prep but it's still quite serviceable. All lights and signals work as they should. No known leaks.

The Bad: The car was in an accident resulting in moderate/severe frontal damage 12/18/2002 and was declared a total loss. No record of air bag deployment. It was then repaired and has a clear Indiana title. The front valance has a visible crack which appears to be bonded together, which hasn't changed in the three years that I've had it. The ground effect on the passenger side behind the front tirehas been broken and part of it is missing. It has some minor rust where the spoiler mounts to the trunk lid on the passenger side. A common issue with these bodies is the trunk latching mechanism failing. I may get this repaired before the end of the auction, but as it is, it does not secure. The power door locks do not work and the drivers side door cannot be locked with the key or the button inside. Cruise does not work. The speedometer hasn't worked since the new transmission was installed so the actual mileage is not known.I've probably driven it 10-15,000 in the three years thatI've owned it.(I just drive by the tach)There's no spare or jack, and there hasn't been since I've owned the car.It has power mirrors but not all functions work.

All in all, it's not a bad car and there's definitely lots of good miles left in her! I'm sure that I've missed something, but having bought several cars on eBay through the years, I believe that I've covered most of the issues that will be of interest. If there's another question that you have or picture that you'd like to see, contact me through eBay and I'll get it for you as quickly as I can. The car is for sale as is/where is. Please bidto buy, not look and be sure of your funds.Cars over 5 years old and with more than 100,000 miles may notqualify at your Credit Union/Bank for a loan. If before the auction ends you'd like to see and/or drive or have the car checked out before you bid/buy, I'm happy to work with you to see that you're accommodated. I will assist with coordinating with your shipper, but you'll need to make those arrangements as well as pay for all costs associated with transport. If you'd like to drive it home, you'll need to make your own arrangements for a temp tag or plate, but I'll pick you up at the airport or bus terminal if needed!

Buy it now and have it in time for that Very Special Christmas Gift! He'll love it! Thanks for looking!

Note: After listing, a discrepancy in odometer readings was noted in the history available through eBay's vehicle check system. This occurred on 08/01/2012 when the car was auctioned. The recorded mileage failed to take into account that the mileage exceeded the odometers capability to register. The next entry bears that out as 100,000 had been "added" to the reading. I do not believe that there has beenanymodification to the mileage, but I'll leave that up to an expert. Carfax does not show this issue or a title issue, which is what I used for the history when listing on 12/11/2016.

Note: I uncovered the car this morning (12/12/2016)and the current mileage is 153706, but as I said earlier, the speedometer has not been working for some time.

Note: I've uploadeda short video of the car running and the rust spot buy the right side of the spoiler on the trunk. It was cold so it's idling a little high.Search YouTube; 1990 Mustang GT -12/12/2016 3:30PM
