1986 Custom Ford Econoline e150
1986 Ford Other Description
Well, the time has come for me to sell my sweet van/home. It has been to AZ, NM, TX, CO and LA with me and has provided a safe and reliable home for myself, my dog and my cat. While I had intended to live in this van for quite sometime, life changes. I am moving out of the country and need to let my van go on to her next owner and her next adventure. She was originally a van owned by McDonald's, they used her to bus around execs and whatnot, it was then bought by a gentleman who treated her like a queen and garaged her whenever she was not in use. The third owner was the one who converted her into a mobile house. I believe that between the 3 of us, we have gotten rid of thenasty GMO vibes and filled this van with love! The last owner added:
New off road lights, new rear air shocks, new custom wheels, new flat screen TV and DVD player, new Dometic fridge, new queen bed, new 400watts off grid solar panels that run all electronics and the fridge, new solar panel controller, new 1500 watt inverter, new marine batteries, new sound system, cd player and speakers, tons of storage, new curtains and new Fiamma F4F5S roll up awning, new brakes, new tires and a new battery. He also dubbed her "Purple Rain". He loved the van and had some great times in her, but had to sell her due to an illness in the family. Then I bought her with the money I had from selling my house. I had the vanlife dream and I fulfilled it and loved it. I hope to sell her to someone who has the same dream. Since I have had her, I installed:
New car alarm system, more storage, and drawers for clothes, recharged and repaired the AC system (works great now). I have only had her for 4 months, so all of this was done in the last 4-8 months. There is a lot invested in this van. Despite having 4 owners, she only has 80,300 original miles. All owners including me have been very diligent about oil changes and just general upkeep. This van has been well respected and well loved. The only issue she has a power drain to the battery, which just means she has a lot of after market things hooked up to the power to make her a home rather than just a vehicle and if she sits for more than 48 hours without being started, then you have to jump her. My solution has been to simply disconnect the negative side of the battery whenever I'm docked and she starts right up when re-connected. She has a dent on the drivers side from a hit and run in the parking lot (see pic)- no damage to the paint. Other than that, she's perfect! I've included a picture of her camping in Colorado so you can see her in her full glory! Awning out, camp set up, cargo rack on top (not included) and bike rack (not included).
If you've been dreaming of a travelling life, your dream is here!
She has power steering, brakes, locks, windows, tilt steering and the original black and grey stripe paint- she's beautiful! Grey plush captains chairs that make long trips a breeze on your back- so comfy! Reliable 302 engine and 5 speed automatic transmission. Duel gas tanks that make long trips that much easier. I am asking for $12,500 or any reasonable offer. Serious inquiries only. Cash or bank finance only. NO help selling.
