1971 Ford Torino 500 5.8L - 4 Door - Rebuilt 351C/C4
1971 Ford Torino 500 Description
1971 Ford Torino 500 4 Door Sedan. Rebuilt 351 Cleveland 2V and C4 Automatic Transmission less than 500 Miles ago. C4 was built stock. 351C bored .30 over and has a mild Comp Cam. Has working power steering, eat works, as factory air but needs to be recharged (I've never messed with it so could possible have another issue) Almost everything under the hood is new. Engine is strong but the car is heavy.
- Rebuilt 351C (less than 500 miles on it)- Rebuilt C4 Trans (less than 500 miles on it)- All of the following items are new ----- Starter, tarter Solenoid, attery, atter Tray, ad hoses, park plugs, lug wires, barrel carb, istributor and cap, onverted to electric ignition, ower steering pump, lternator, elts, nbsp; new upper/lower control arms with ball joints, new shocks, oil springs, ewer exhaust (2 glasspacks), ew black carpet, peedo cable, ront bench has been recovered, d player in car but not secured, new speakers, ash cap (dash and cap are not currently in the car - I can reinstall before you pick up if you want) master cylinder, ront drums, nterior has been painted (door panels, etal parts) brake shoes and other items that I can't think of right now. Just had an alignment after new suspension what installed. I have all of the trim that originally came with the car (some is in the trunk)
Car runs great (could use some timing adjustment). Brakes work but are rough when breaking hard. I have a lot of the receipts for the new parts. I also have tons of pictures showing the progress of the cars restoration if you'd like to have a copy of them after your purchase.
Body is in good shape but needs paint (there is a lot of black primer on the body and some trim--- I didn't do it but I think that it has preserved a lot of the metal). Not much rust. Rear quarters have rust through on the bottom lip behind the tires and the cowl is rusted (I cut out plexiglass and put over the hood vents - I got what rust I could out and sprayed it with primer). Most sheet metal is in great shape. This car just needs to be finished or would be a great parts car for your project. Trim, umpers and tons of other stuff will fit a 2 door.
Please contact me with any additional concerns or requests. Title in hand. I don't believe that it has been in major accidents (frame is straight and panels are pretty well lined up).
