DESCRIPTION CONTINUED: WHEN I TRIED TO FILL THE TRANSMISSION TO CAPACITY I HAD A GOOD SIZED PUDDLE ON THE GROUND THE NEXT DAY. IT'S POSSIBLE I OVERFILLED IT BUT I SUSPECT THERE IS LIKELY A SEAL LEAKING UNDERNEATH THAT WILL NEED ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE IS SOLID AND CAN BE DRIVEN AS YOU RESTORE IT, BUT, THERE ARE SEVERAL AREAS THAT WILL REQUIRE METAL WORK! THE TOP IS TOAST, THE VINYL ROOF HAS TRAPPED MOISTURE AND WILL EITHER NEED PATCHING OR REPLACEMENT (SEE CLOSE UP PHOTO). THE BOTTOM OF THE INSIDE DOOR EDGES ALSO HAVE RUST THROUGH, THEY CAN PROBABLY BE PATCHED BUT ARE NOT IN THE GREATEST SHAPE. THE PASSENGER QUARTER HAS RUST AND BUBBLING ON THE LIP (SEE CLOSE UP). THE TRUNK, DOOR JAMBS, PILLARS, ROCKERS ARE SOLID. ALL FRAME RAILS ARE SOLID EXCEPTING ONE SPOT AT THE PASSENGER FRONT (AGAIN, SEE CLOSE UP) WHERE RUST HAS EATEN THROUGH THE BRACKET AND A SMALL SECTION OF FRAME RAIL, I BELIEVE THE FRAME RAIL CAN BE PATCHED EASILY.. THE AC DOES NOT WORK, NOR AM I SURE OF THE GAUGES. THE SPEEDO DOES REGISTER SPEED AS I LOT DROVE IT, RADIO DOES NOT TUNE, THE DASH FAN DOES COME ON BY SWITCH, HORN INOP. INTERIOR AS SHOWN IS COMPLETE WITH SPORT CONSOLE BUT SEAT UPHOLSTERY HAS RIPS.I HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO DECODE THE TORINO, THERE IS A 9" REAR AXLE UNDERNEATH, IT MAY VERY WELL BE A MATCHING NUMBERS POWERTRAIN BUT I DO NOT WARRANTY THAT, IT'S SIMPLY NOT WORTH THE EFFORT ON A LOW DOLLAR CAR, BUT IT APPEARS FAIRLY UNDISTURBED AND ORIGINAL. ODOMETER SHOWS 53K WHICH HAS OBVIOUSLY ROLLED OVER. FLOOR PANS HAVE SOME RUST AND SCALE AND WILL NEED SOME PATCHING, (SEE CLOSE UP OF PAN) BUT THERE ARE NO GAPING HOLES, NOT SURE WHAT YOU WILL FIND ONCE CARPET IS REMOVED. ONCE CARPET IS REMOVED.THE VIN PLATE IS INTACT AS IS THE PAPER VIN TAG ON DRIVERS DOOR JAMB, ALTHOUGH THE ORIGINAL COLOR (LIGHT BLUE IT SEEMS) HAS BEEN PAINTED OVER. I AM SURE I HAVE MISSED MANY FLAWS AND DEFECTS OF THIS VEHICLE, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO COVER EVERY INCH BUT I HAVE ADDRESSED THE MAIN ISSUES I HAVE OBSERVED.
