1959 Ford Squire Description

Iam listing this car for a good friend & client. If you are looking at this auction you probably already know something about these cars. It was produced by Ford of England for the US market (hence the LHD). He purchased this Squire in late 2006 because he had a similar one back in his high school days & had always wanted to get another. He put the little guy in for restoration that fall & it was finally completed in August 2013. He has enjoyed it, taken it to shows & can't get out of the gas stations for all the people gawking over it!

A quick note on the VIN number. It is NOT the original number because it laid at the restoration shop for many years. My friend didn't realize till much later that the original Connecticut title was NOT notarized & by that time the previous owner had moved & could not be located. He decided that getting an Indiana Assembled Title was the easiest route to take as he did not restore it to sell but to keep. Many years on he has decided to pursue another restoration project so the little guy has to find a new home...

I have a folder FULL of receipts for all the parts & body & paint work. Well over $30,000 invested. His loss, your gain.

The car is well sorted& everything works as it should. Steering, Brakes, Lights, Gauges, etc.

The engine was rebuilt & runs great. The trans is a 3 speed & being rather light it moves along very well.

The tires have under 500 miles on them but are over 10 years old, so you may want to replace them. Your call... The true mileage is unknown but less than500 miles have been logged sine completion.

I run a restoration shop but did not restore this car as we did not meet till after the car was done. I have worked on it several times since then, sorting out some minor issues so I do know the car fairly well. Any questions, just ask...

It is always the ONLY one at our local shows & it turns a lot of heads. Be the first on your block to have one!

Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but Ican assist with shipping as needed.

Bidders with a feedback rating less than 10 must contact me first or your bids will be eliminated. Happy bidding & good luck......

Oops, I goofed. The car is a 1957 model year, not a 1959. 2 years older makes it worth more, right ? :)
