1967 Ford Galaxie Description

For sale is this 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible. It is a true garage find as it has set in the owner’s garage since 2010 but owned since 2005 unmolested and seldom driven. It was purchased as a project and much has been done, but owner doesn’t have the time to finish this classic. It is the 390 engine and the carb was rebuilt and new master cylinder was put on so the car is running and was driven home from the mechanic. All the parts and pieces are here to finish off the car, and new carpet was put in in 2005. It does have some bondo on it, but it is minimal. The front seat has been replaced with a bench seat from a donor car and to bring back to total original would need to be replaced with split seat. All the interior is original or from donor car so it does look its age. The top was put down manually to take pictures and not sure of the hydraulics. There is no spare tire. All the trim and badging is with the car and looks as though it can be polished and be fine. The bumpers do have some surface rust, but very little pitting. The top has come loose on driver side front, but looking it may be able to be repaired. The mechanic did do a cursory examination of the car and gave a short list of things he felt needed to be addressed; the distributor was stuck, the manifold had a small crack and he estimated $300 or so to fix, the brakes needed to be addressed since it had set so long, probably needs new exhaust pipes, timing chain should be replaced and possible to do some valve work. I am helping a friend sell his baby (he really doesn’t want to) so if you have any questions just contact me and I will get you the answers. I tried to take as many pictures as I could so you can see what the car is. It IS a project car so don’t expect perfection in any way. It will take work and cash to get the car to daily driver quality. The car does have a reserve price, but it is VERY reasonable for this original 1967.
