1932 Ford Other Roadster Description

Great start on a traditional 32 roadster. New Brookville body on an original 32 chassis with running 4 cylinder and mix of early Ford parts and new parts.

The chassis came from a running 32 pickup. The cab, bed and fenders went to other projects and I got the chassis. It has its original k-member and rear cross members and the front is an original 32 that is bolted in. It includes the original steering box, column, drop and wheel. At some point it was converted to juice brakes with a hanging brake pedal. I removed the hanging pedal and master cylinder and installed a new Early V-8 Garage conversion kit using the original pedal with a new master cylinder. The motor and transmission are original B Model. I added a new downdraft intake and 94 carb to the 4 cylinder and it starts right up, idles and runs great.

The front suspension is all 1932 and includes an original 1932 heavy axle with a 4” drop. It has 32 spindles with the steering arms bent to clear the un-split 32 wishbone. In addition it has 32 spring perches, kingpins, tie rod and drag link. The backing plates and drums are later hydraulic. The rear end, torque tube and spring are 1932 Ford.

Wheels are 16x4-1/2” and 16x4” Early Ford w/ new Firestone 7.50 and 4.50 tires.

The body is the most original style roadster body available from Brookville. The tops of the quarters are reworked to allow the wooden tack strip to fit like original 32’s. The body also comes with stock style floor with the pan under the seat, seat riser, stock style dash, cowl vent and door hinges. The firewall is the original from the pickup. The hood, grill shell and insert are original 32 Ford. The fuel tank is new from Vintique.

The old seat came from another project and it fits pretty good. The little roadster starts, stops, steers and shifts good. It is ready to finish or use as is. Comes with current and correct Tennessee title for 1932 Ford Roadster in my name matching #’s on the frame.
