1929 Ford Model A Sport Coupe (DRIVER)
1929 Ford Model A Sport Coupe Description
Need to sell my 29 coupe, driving a standard shift car has become very painful with my bad back and hips. just got old. the car was probably an 8, on a 1 to 10 scale when I got it, all original. I have changed to a 12v. system, with a new "American autowire" fuse block, a new 12v high torque starter and an alternator for charging. original "guide" headlights with seal beam. Have added an original "Aristocrat" dash with water temp. oil pressure and volt meter. also replaced amp gauge with clock. The brakes are new "Speedway" 12" Bendix style with all new backing plates and drums, new 37-48 style hubs and a new dual chamber master cylinder, Wheels are black power coated 16" 1935 ford wires with new 16-600 "Coaker" classic white walls (including spare), with a set of 4 spinner hub caps. Moved seat back about 2" to give more leg room and removed useless rumple seat and converted to more practical trunk. Steering is now done with a "Speedway" nostalgia column, and new vega style steering box. Cowl lights now are turn signals as the column has built in switch. Car drives very easy and starts up very fast. know nothing about the engine as to when it was rebuilt, but does not smoke and just normal leakage out the rear seal. Serial number is correct for a 29 ford car and matches the number on the title. Some small paint dings and patches on the upholstery but all in all is a very nice car. Please ask questions if you are interested.
