1967 Ford Mustang Shelby Tribute / RestoMod. Nut-n-Bolt Rotisserie restore.
1967 Ford Mustang Custom Shelby Description
You are looking at a one of a kind completely Custom, original owner (meaning we ordered and received the original vehicle in 1966 direct from Ford) RestoMod extreme race care. The only original part on the whole car is the UniBody itself and that has of course been not only completely restored to showroom condition but also re-enforced with Total Control Braces and complete suspension kit.
We decided that "body kits" were for baby's so this particular Mustang comes with completely custom exterior(we had to cut about 1" of Interrior on each side to fit the wheels), and external fenders custom molded to hug the larger wheels while keeping the classic external style lines, just a larger fatter more aggressive looking rear end (no plastic fenders, must see to really appreciate). Also we removed the front lower lights and made them functional air cooling for front brakes. On the sides towards the rear tires instead of fake Shelby plastic body molds we created actual working break venting scoops to keep the rear breaks cool and happy. The front end is completely custom fiberglass, we were going for an aggressive Cobra style with a large opening on the front-end, full bumper delete. The hood is an Aftermarket 1968 Shelby style hood that we modified heavily so that the engine would fit. The entire front end of this ride, unbolts for easy access to the custom built 427 Stroker.
Transmission is a Tremec T-5, 9" rear, posi, complete roll cage with racing belts inside, Wilson Disc Brakes all around, Custom Side Exhaust (mufflers have been removed, this car scares old people and young children as it rolls by)
I have all parts list, all part documentation for everything we put on the vehicle. Restore completed in 2012 driven VERY VERY infrequently, garage kept in Virginia, heated in winter time. Original Build crew is available for questions, and the artist who did ALL of the metal work/sculpting on the body is available to re-create if you happen to need to replace a fender or fix in case of accident). Note that the Artist is well known for his Stainless Steel sculptures and lives in Southern Florida.
Car is being kept at my mechanics shop for the sale, please feel free to come by, we can get the car up on the lift and you can inspect all of the details and workmanship. Also Ive had the same Mechanic work on the vehicle since its complete restoration and he is also available for technical questions you may have.
**More Photos Coming** - I also have about 1000 photos of the restoration process, body work, painting, and even shots of the original as it was unearthed from my fathers back yard.
Ebay is only one of the ways we are attempting to sell this vehicle, and therefore we reserve the right to end the listing if we end up with a local sale.
Offers are Welcome, and we MAY be interested in trade+cash for a new Shelby.
