1969 Ford Torino GT Description
1969 Ford Torino GT Fastback / Original California car
I bought this car for me personally, with no intention of selling it but I have my eye on a project car so this one must be sold for the funds to do so. This was a restoration / custom build that found it's way to my garage and have enjoyed it a lot. We have had it at several cruise ins and car shows and is a real head turner. It will get plenty of looks, "thumbs up" and compliments wherever you go. This car looks great but is not perfec, I am a very picky person and to most people it is like a "show car", for me it's a good start. The paint looks great, but up close has some imperfections some are noticeable some are no so much obvious. This is very straight, if I were to keep it, I would paint is black. The frame rails and floor pans appear very solid and this car is undercoated. This was well cared for, never abused and would be a perfect daily dependable driver.
Car originally started life in San Jose, Ca as a non A/C aqua on aqua GT with a 302 2v with a 3 speed Manual. Disc front and drum rear. Just put a new master cylinder on the car. I added the original 1969 Mach 1 Mustang Seats added to the feel and roominess of the interior. When the car was restored, they changed over to a 1973 351c and a 1968 "RUG D2" wide ratio top loader with Hurst 4 on the floor. The drive train came from a 1973 BOSS Mustang, and was rebuilt with a bigger cam and other new parts including an aluminum intake and a new Holley 4160 duel feed carb. Car has electronic tonight. Has flowmaster exhaust and sounds great. When you run it through the gears, this car has an incredible sound. Pulls hard and runs great. Sitting on a set of brand new 17" rear and 16" front American Racing torque thrust II's with Goodyear Comp 2 Directional Tread tires. Just installed a new Zoom Performance street/strip Clutch kit and resurfaced flywheel. Chatters a little when taking off but seems to be normal with Zoom performance clutches, and its not even broke in yet.. Rea rend is a limited Slip 9". Heat and blower motor works great. The only things I know that do not work are the reverse lights and will need a wiper motor. Car will need a few cosmetic tweaks here and there to make it perfect, but other than that it's a great driver that gets a ton of attention. Overall a very nice car for collectors and first timers alike as it will please both. A good daily driver, or weekend cruiser. Please see all the pictures provided, please ask all questions. Although I have listed everything, it is a used car. So I am selling this as a used car with no warranties expressed or implied. No refunds or exchanges. Buyer must pay a $500 non refundable deposit at time of purchase through PayPal, and the balance is due in cash upon pickup / delivery of this car. This car has a reserve, but it is low and reasonable.
On Oct-04-17 at 17:27:35 PDT, seller added the following information:Odometer is 141,000 not 148,000 as I put in the ad. That was a typo, so its a few miles LESS than I listed.Again actual millage is 141,000
