1972 Ford Torino Description

1972 FORD GRAN TORINO SPORT FASTBACK
  • H-CODE 351C
  • AUTOMATIC
  • FACTORY A/C CAR

Original 351C H-code(2V).I have added an Edelbrock 4V intake and Holley Carb.I believe I saved the original intake and carb.If I did,it will be included.

FMX Automatic

Factory A/C.Everything is present and hooked up.The compressor will kick on,but likely will need a recharge.

New gas tank

Older Cragar SS wheels...nothing fancy.

Bench seat column shift car.Interior will need some work.Tear in drivers seat, needs carpet and headliner.I was planning to convert to black interior with buckets and floor shift.

Car was originally from Dallas,Texas and spent its first 35 years or so there before coming up north. It has been stored inside the entire time its been up here.In fact,I have probably spent more than my asking price on storage alone to keep this car out of the elements...let alone what Ive spent on the car!Until about a week ago,I never had intentions of selling it.

For an unrestored original, this car is a very solid example. It appears to have never been repainted, and there is no evidence of any previous bodywork.Body overall is VERY straight and 99% rust free. There is some surface rust specks/spots,mainly on the lower panels from rock chips and just normal driving wear and tear. After thoroughly looking the car over...the only rust "hole" that I have seen is on the underside of the drivers side quarter where it meets the trunk drop off.I would estimate that its 1inch wide and maybe 4inches long.It is not visible unless you are laying under the car,and would be an easy fix, even for an amateur. The car originally had a vinyl top, which was removed years ago.It will either need a replacement,or minor bodywork to smooth out imperfections before painting the roof. The front bumper appears to have a slight tweak on the passenger side, but I have a nice spare which is included.

Car fires right up and runs and drives.I have not driven it on the road in about a year,so I would expect to at least do some maintenance before hopping in with the wife and kids for a trip to the Grand Canyon.Remember, its still an unrestored 45 year old car...not a 2015 Corolla.

Pictures don't do the car justice. It really should be seen to appreciate the full scope of what is here.I have owned 4 other 72 GTS in the past, and looked a long time to find one this straight/clean to work with. The only reason I'm selling is because I just stumbled upon and bought another 72 4 speed.

Ive tried to describe this car as accurately as I can. Please feel free to ask questions first.I welcome and strongly encourage serious buyers to inspect or have the car inspected before bidding.I want the buyer to be happy with their purchase.

It costs me a decent amount of money to sell here and store the car, therefore to deter non-serious bidders, there will be a $500 non-refundable deposit due when clicking buy it now.Balance due within 7 days.Balance due in cash,OR payment of the balance must CLEAR bank before car leaves my possession.Pickup of car due within 10 days of purchase, unless we make other arrangements before purchase.

If you have questions,or are making an offer... you can leave a phone number, and I will call or text you(your choice).ANY OFFER without a phone number will be declined.(Too many deadbeats)

THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!
