1984 Ford Mustang Hertz Predator GT302H #119
1984 Ford Mustang Predator Description
RELIST COMMENTS: Price reduced. Added build sheet, door tag & Predator Registry certificate. A few have asked if this car is in driving condition. YES! The pictures show various stages of work and I was trying to display the components and quality of work. The car is on the road, inspected, alignment done etc. Its ready to go. In addition, the 8 spoke Shelby wheels, spinners, roll bar, hood scoop and pins are original to the Predator. The black and white photo is a showroom picture from a magazine in 84.
For sale is my 1984 Mustang Predator GT302H #119 - 1 of 8 known Hertz survivors. Predators were produced by Ford 3rd Party partner Solomon American out of Kansas - similar to Saleen. Out of the 130 Predators built in 1984 the Hertz cars are the rarest. This one has been restored with cosmetic preservation in mind. It has ZERO RUST. Car has been painstakenly cared for and is in excellent condition. Mods are REVERSIBLE as I have all of the original components including heads, intake, cam, carb, Predator valve covers and head unit etc. The car's build path objectives were to maintain the Predator stock appearance and general manners with the option for true beast mode if desired. The heads are machined, ported, polished and for supercharging with receiver rings. The suspension and 8.8" rear end set up for power. Yet the Cam is mild (XE262H), the 600 CFM Carb was chosen for cold start atomization and drivablity via annular boosters. The 3.35's gearing chosen for a balance of torque and highway manners. The Flowmaster American Thunder cat back drone caused by the high compression heads eliminated with Dynomax Super Turbos. The car as currently configured will dyno in the low 300's at the wheels. Switch to a more aggressive cam and 3.73's and the car will be a total monster.

General notes and absolutely ALL known issues:everything works properly unless noted below - including lights, signals, backup lamps, blinkers, windows & locks. Even cruise control which was adapted to the Summit 600 correctlyoverhead map light does not work - I haven't diagnosed it, probably just the bulbsome plastic fasteners on the door panels are loose or missing. Since I've owned several of these cars I'm certain the panel board needs the fastener holes repaired. Its a simple process and the fasteners are availableOn the drivers door a lower pin bushing is missing. I have replacements (pins and bushings) but haven't completed the work as it is a 2-man operation. Door closes fine anywayheater hose restrictor pill needs to be installed. Restrictor pill includedDriver's window motor works but is a bit slow. Motor bushings or the window guide need needs to be cleaned impeding the guide bushings sliding on the bar.Paint has a few minor touch upsThe new R134 system has a slow leak - it holds a charge for approximately 2 months. Needs recharge with dye to diagnose properly.
The interior door panels themselves are in excellent condition along with the rest of the interior. The last "item" on my restoration list was door functions which is why the list contains mostly door related items. If the car doesn't sell the list will be quite a bit smaller by spring.
Why am I selling? Simply too many cars and I am in mid restoration on another project so I'm looking to raise funds. VIN 1FABP28M9EF112104. Per registration history the car's odometer has rolled which is why the car will be priced reasonably. Any questions txt or call (txt is better!) 857 262 3958. Thanks for looking.
