1984 Mustang GT. Predator 4s-114
What is a Mustang Predator:
The Predator Mustang was manufactured and sold through select dealerships in the Midwest. Tom Solomon of Solomon America was the car creator.
Tom Solomon was heavily involved with Shelby Mustangs and Cobras, so in 1983 he designed and developed a Shelby Equipped Cobra Mustang based on the 1983 fox chassis. He showed the model to Ford and they loved it. Solomon wanted to call the car "The Cobra" but Ford would not agree because it owned the Cobra name. So Solomon officially named the car "The Predator Mustang", and Ford gave him the O.K. to produce the cars and sell them through selected dealers. The Predator was made from 1983-1986. There were two factory locations; Dallas, Texas and Topeka, Kansas. Some cars had Kamei ground effects. The color choice was the same as the Mustang G.T. There were approximately 125-130 cars built in 1984.

Condition
Exterior: paint shines good, has normal imperfections of a 30 year old car. Couple dings but nothing major: 8/10.
Has an aftermarket hood. Not predator specific. I spoke with Tom Solomon at the Plano TX show and confirmed this in June.
Engine: gaskets all changed, new distributor, tune-up parts, oil pressure sensor, coolant temp sensor, battery cables. As well as fluids changed on install. Needs to be tuned in / dyno for optimal performance. Was on adjustable ignition system in previous car. New Mallory distributor installed. 9/10
Interior: Put in a set of used door panels and grey 1986 cloth seats. The original Charcoal will go with the sale but driver’s side had broken bolster. I would use these (86) seats and buy the kit to recover. Installed a new dash pad and cleaned interior. Has after-market radio that is not working. And clock is also not working. Roll bar is a 4pt one and is in the car. No rips or tears in upholstery and the carpeting is in decent shape. Rear view mirror needs to be replaced and is missing ash tray. Overall presents nice 7.5/10.
