1950 Ford Other Description

This 1950 Ford Club Coupe is a third generation 60s Hot Rod. This coupe came from one family who owned it since the late 50s. It was customized in the 60s by the uncle. It was then inherited by the uncle’s brother, and then passed down to his son who sold it to me.

First, I had the body taken down to bare metal and all areas of concern attended to. The hood, doors, and trunk alignments were given special attention. The body was sealed with epoxy primer. After many hours of sanding and blocking the final matte black finish was applied.

The dash and door garnish moldings were painted a beautiful gloss black cherry color. All the gauges work properly and there is even a light in the glove box. The heater and fan work fine as do the turn signals.

The new side window glass are all tinted grey. The windshield glass is new and is shaded at the top. The rear window is original. Every piece of rubber weatherstripping is new as are the window felts. All the original stainless trim on the body and around the windows has been polished.

Complete new upholstery and headliner were installed. They are black Naugahyde. New black carpets on the floor and in the trunk were added. Seat belts front and rear. Every piece of original chrome was custom plated by one of the top companies in the country. The floors, trunk pan and body braces are all solid.

The stock master cylinder has been replaced with a dual reservoir master cylinder for safe, superior braking. All wheel brakes have been replaced and all brake lines have been replaced as well and new shocks installed.

The (99%) rust free chassis is stock except for the rear lowering blocks.

The engine starts easy and runs great. It is the original V8 239 ci. Flathead. New radiator, hoses, thermostats, water pumps and belts were installed. The exhaust is old school with dual cherry bombs. The 6 volt battery is new with new cables and battery box. The carburetor and generator were rebuilt and the engine received a complete tune up and detail.

The transmission is the stock three speed on the tree and shifts great.

Tires are wide white Diamondbacks including the spare. There are (5) mint 1957 Cadillac hub caps also.

The fog light on the front grill is an original accessory item.

This coupe was customized in the 60s with dummy spotlights, Stainless steel lake pipes, and steel Foxcraft skirts. Check out the two rear static strips.

Only the best parts were used on this rebuild. It was done right and it shows (over $30,000.00 invested).

All the windows and doors locks work like a new car with keys to match.

This fine car needs nothing it handles great and is comfortable to drive. Sold as is.

PLEASE NOTE: Connecticut does not issue titles on vehicles over twenty years old. A notorized Bill of Sale and the clear current transferable ownership/registration in my name will be provided to the buyer. This serves as the owners legal proof of ownership.
