1960 Ford Thunderbird leather interior Description

1960 Ford Thunderbird convertible for sale. I purchased this car in Michigan atthe Ford 100 anniversary in 2003. It has no rust except for a few pin holes on the trunk floor and rust spots all along the lower body skin on both sides front to back. This is why the bottom of the body skins were removed here and there. There is absolutely no rust on the frame or anywhere else on the car. This was not a rusty car. However, I had the brilliant idea to completely disassemble the car to fix the body rust and restore the car and the project went bad after several attempts to finish it. Needless to say I never finished the project and here the car sits in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The car is completely disassembled, every last nut and bolt is off the car. I have all the parts for the most part. I will assume that anyone who purchases the car will want to go through the parts and make sure. I have all the convertible parts for the car and all were in good condition when removed. Remember that the car was in very nice driving and cosmetic condition before I disassembled it with the exception of the rust spots which were obvious. It was stupid to disassemble it but that was my mistake and now here we are. The engine and trans are on an engine and trans dolly fully assembled. THE ENGINE AND TRANS DOLLY DO NOT GO WITH THE CAR AND ARE NOT PART OF THE SALE. The engine ran very well and the transmission shifted perfectly when it was running. I disassembled the car in 2005.
The car sits on top of a rotisserie that cost me $2500 and was never used except for this car. Once the job went bad for good, I "very slightly" modified the rotisserie so it fits under the car as a dolly so I could roll it around. This rotisserie does go with the car in the sale. Modified very slightly means that I did not cut the rotisserie or damage it in any way, I just welded a few straps and wheels to it to keep it together under the car.
I have most of the replacement panels for the body but didn't really have enough room to picture them. They are dirty and some have some surface rust which, I think, can be cleaned off. The body of the car is not rusty. It has a thick coating of Fertan rust neutralizer because I had the car sand blasted and so the body was bare so we coated it with Fertan. The stuff is the color you see on the car and is deceiving because it looks rusty. It is not.
The car was red and had red leather interior with a white top skin, no air, power drivers seat, am radio. It drove and ran nicer than most square birds I have ever driven. The top worked perfectly. The deck lid, package tray and flap are in excellent condition and have no rust. The package tray has no rust or damage. All the convertible parts are still in very good condition. The car was always garaged even in this condition. The photos you see were taken about 10 years ago. The car looks exactly the same today, nothing has changed, so I just used these photos since it looks exactly the same today. Obviously if you purchase the car you will have to come out and pick it up. I do not and will not arrange your shipping. I strongly strongly strongly recommend that you come see the car in person to be 100% certain of what you are purchasing. I take cash only or a bank money transfer, don't ask for any other arrangement because the answer will be no. I will not ship it to Texas and accept your phony cashiers check. CASH ONLY. NO CHECKS, NO TRADES, NO BS.
I am Nick from T-birds by Nick when I had my Thunderbird shop in Los Angeles. I am now in Colorado. I don't lie about the parts in my ads and I sell tons of stuff on ebay under "nursetamiern" and my eBay store "Nicks Thunderbird Parts" and I have an impeccable reputation. If I tell you its so, then it is so. Obviously the car needs a full and complete restoration. If you have any questions send me a message and I will answer them as best as I can.
This 1960 Thunderbird Convertible is being sold in "AS IS" condition. There are no warranties or guarantees of any kind expressed or implied.
